The more i re watch the 2nd half of this game the more Questions I have,
We all know that games have been fixed for the lakers in the past, do you think that his might be yet another fix?

I thought it was an amazing game, and the refs picked a horrible time to start being a little biased. But as a Celtics fan I can’t argue all the offensive boards we let up. Tough one to swallow though

The officiating sucked all series. Don’t think the game was fixed, but those wistles got a little one sided the whole second half, hell all series. The glass is where the C’s lost it though. They could have blown it open in the 1st half. LA stayed in it with 2nd chance oppurtunities, they were shooting horrible. Missed Perk a little, but they had their chance. Bad officiating though all series.

Refs sucked, but for anyone who watched the series and thought the Celtics got the benefit of calls you gotta be kidding me.

No it didnt seem rigged. It was poor, but not rigged in this series. You also have to take into account the home teams typically get some of the calls. It happens in Boston, it happens in LA…it happens everywhere.

Posterman…you wouldnt happen to be a Celtics fan would you? Just curious, cuz if you are it would definitly come to the shock of myself and probably everybody else who as read any of your posts lately. Just sayin…put down the biasness. Its annoying.

yea officials sucked as always. But idk, the calls (and non calls) were outrageously and were clearly favoring the lakers and anyone watching unbiasedly could see that. It just gets me mad, cuz i just wanna see the players decide games, and i just didn’t see the refs doing the best job on the biggest stage. Its really frustrating and upsetting as a fan.

The refs were insanely 1-sided in the 2nd half but that doesnt mean it was fixed…it just means poor officiating but absolutely predicable officiating

THERE WAS NOOOOOO WAY the lakers were going to lose at home, no way the refs were going to let that happen

    Facts:
The lakers took 37 free throws
The celtics took 17 free throws
    Kobe took 15 free throws
    Gasol took 13 free throws

    Conclusions:
The lakers took more than twice as many free throws as the celtics
Kobe took almost as many free throws as the celtics
Kobe and Gasol took more free throws than the celtics

Tim Donaghy believers will point to these numbers. Others will say Kobe “took over”.

    My Analysis:
The Rondo in the first half was different from the rondo in the second half. He was way less aggressive but this was covered up by his near triple double. KG only had 3 rebounds in 38 mins (i am not sure how this happened) but this will be covered up by his good FG%. I am not sure why boston isolated Pierce against arrtest, the best defender in the series instead of pushing the Fisher match up. KG was shooting well and Wallace was have an above average offensive game, why not pound the ball inside more and hope to pick up fouls or continue the good shooting? Maybe kick outs could give Ray some looks to get him going? As the game wore on the celtics got less aggressive (ie rondo) and the Lakers got more aggressive (ie laker free throws in the 4th quarter).

    My Opinon:
The celtics strategy did not adjust. They become more passive as the game wore on and Lakers started receiving more free throw attempts. The refs did slow down the game in the fourth quarter which does not play to the celtics strengths. All these subtle tweaks combind to conclude the eventual result.

like scout4real said, you can’t really say THIS game was fixed, because the bottom line is the NBA has the worst officiating in all of pro sports.

I don’t like either team so I’m not biased. Let’s face it, the Celtics committed one dumb foul after another in the 4th quarter.

On the flip side, just about every time Pau Gasol drove to the hoop he was fouled. The refs could have easily called another 4 or 5 fouls on plays down low on the Celts but they didn’t.

The game was decided by rebounding, not the officials. In fact, every game of the series was decided by rebounding. Check out who won the battle of the boards in each game and you will find your winner.

rtbt u got it right.. rebs was the deciding factor in this game…and i know all the laker haters are goin to cry about free throws but lets not forget that bos. was in the penalty almost half of 2nd quarter and alot of the 4th but unlike the lakers the celtics started to relay on jump shots…..and how does the saying go ‘live by the jumper… die by the jumper!’ bottomline….

the keys of the life….. ‘ shaq tell me how kobe rings (azzz) taste!’

did people watch the game. Are you saying the fouls called for the Lakers were not being called for Boston. I will say this they let them play early on and it benefited Boston who likes to play physical but later on since Lakers were going hard to the hoop they had to call fouls of Celtic players that would just body or hack Lakers players thinking they would get away with those calls. Replays showed that Celtics players were fouling. That 3 point play that Kobe got is the same kind of moves that Pierce gets away with all the time and also Ray Allen. I want people to bring video footage of both Celtics fouls and Lakers fouls to support how Lakers were not getting fouled and the Celtics were.

Excuses is always what comes out of a hater. Come On Suck It Up, lakers won cause they started hitting their free throws and people started to step up. Shout out 2 Artest And His Hood And His Doctor
