Good offensive game early. SA is taking it to Duncan early and Lebron is dishing out of double teams to create good shots for his teammates.
Mike Miller don't jump!!!!!!
It's about time someone makes a thread.
Chalmers and Timmy have been lighting it up so far.
DWade hit his firstjumper, that could be a bad sign for SA.
Tiago Splitter sucks...
He gets stripped more than Magic Mike.
The two players that are standing out are Wade and Duncan.
Wade has been stepping it up the last two games. Looks like he might have to put them on his back again.
LOL at Joewolf...
I've never rooted this hard for the Spurs.. This is actually my first time cheering for them in the Finals... That goes to show how much hatred I have for this Miami Heat especially Bosh...
Lebron has been a 2nd option point guard this half. He's done a good job in that role, but I'm kinda scratching my head.
F*cking Ginobili throws so many questionable passes
Turnovers are going to kill both teams especially if it comes down in the 4th quarter...
LBJ is thinking wayyyyyyyy 2 much...
I like how Duncan has a stone cold attitude when he gets fouled. He doesn't waste energy complaining about and for fouls.
I thought James might have traveled before that pass.
We are seeing a vintage Tim Duncan in the first half!!!!
is unselfish to a fault sometimes.....he always tries to see and make the right play but sometimes he forgets that the right play is to take it himself.
Duncan making his campaign for Finals MVP if they win this game.
Duncan got some lucky bounces this half... When the Heat struggle from the outside they suck. 17-4 run by the Spurs to end the half.
Is it just me, or does LeBron seemed to be bothered by Diaw?
Diaw is a big dude, and he's also deceptively quick. LeBron seems to struggle when matched up with Diaw. It might be because LeBron can't just bully through Diaw like he can with Kawhi or Green.
It also seems like he doesn't trust his jumper enough to just shoot over top of him.
That, and Timmy is just killing it.
Diaw even took him to the rack twice and scored. I just KNEW Lebron was gonna go right back at him and put Diaw in his place, but nope, Lebron is bothered by him to some extent. That and he was playing the role of facilitator for mist of the half.
Thats the 2003 Duncan. Vintage! We still need manu's contribution thougu
Where is the greatest player in the world at ?
I love Pop and try not to question him, but seriously, how much time does this guy give Ginobili in the second half? He had so many turnovers, and has been AWFUL on defense; playing lackadaisical defense on Wade.
Timmy is really turning back the clock. 11-13 for 25 points and 8 boards. Greatness gets labelled and passed around too easy these days but this man is truly great. Insane first half in such a big game.
Lebron needs to realise he is the best player in the world. It seems like he doesn;t believe it to me. They are giving you so much space, so shot it! I just want to seem him attack in the second half and lay it all out on the line.
ok, i am sick and tired of hearing lebron james being mentioned in the same sentence as michael jordan. i feel like everyone has given him a pass, and just because he has 4 MVPs does not make him one of the best all time. i am watching with my own 2 eyes a guy who is good, but NOT top 5 player level good. the best players; jordan, bird, magic... those guys would go by, around, through the defense to help there team win. lebron is just passing it off, not attacking, not getting by anyone. hes a great player, yes, but hes not in michael jordans level, and i dont even see him as a top 10 player.
A few things I took from the first half
Manu is the most annoying player to watch for me, he's either great or pathetic, and everytime he has the ball I go "well turnover time". Mario Chalmers is keeping the heat close in this game with 14 points, I heard Lebron and Him switched scoring option roles pre-game and Chalmers went from 4th to 1st and Lebron went back to 4th. Danny Green is open so often on the weakside, I wish they'd include him into the offense more. Diaw is actually one of the better defenders I've seen on Bron. and of course Tim Duncan is 25 and 8 in the first half (legendary)...
Tim Duncan's emergence: It's gotta be the shoes! lol
What Duncan is doing to the Heat was crazy in the first half...He is making it look easy....
Bosh's way of thinking "Well Lebron has good positioning on tony Parker and a mismatch on the post...but I'll shoot the 3 anyway"??? *dies inside*
If Parker or Manu start getting it going it's over for the Heats.
Tim Duncan has single handled took over this game so far.
Manu passes are really hurting the Spurs. And if the Spurs win the title the only reason I'd be against Green getting the MVP is because he can be neutralized easily as a shooter. He hasn't been bad but hasn't gotten open looks and doesn't create off the dribble. Tony Parker would get my vote IF spurs win
Tony Parker needs to keep stepping up. He needs to control the tempo to avoid any Miami runs.
Manu, man.. sometimes he can be such a piece of crap.. Just play simple basketball.. no need for fancy passes...
Kawhi Leonard! This dude has a mindset of a 10-year vet.. To think he's only 21.. damn!
And LeBron is starting to fade.
Missed a layup, turnover which led to an and-1, missed an open three which led to another and-1.
Yet another play where Lebron cries about a call and doesn't get back on defense. Then Wade does it the next play... Heat fans have to hate the sh*t.
in the jordan debate....your legacy needs this game......and you're not playing like it. If you're content being a millionaire basketball player who's pretty good you've done that......but if you wanna go down as one of the best if you're gonna go down in this game you've gotta go down swinging.....not setting up the punch for someone else to swing.
The Spurs are really playing inspiring basketball, I hope they can keep it up.
The officating has been undoubtably shaky (Joey Crawford...duh) but Van Gundy did make the correct point. It has been shaky both ways, and the Spurs take each bad/questionable call and move on. The Heat whine so much about everything that doesn't go there way. Shouldn't the best player in the league be able to dominate without getting the calls? Shouldn't he be able to do better than 3-12 through 3 quarters? Gear up LeBron, this is a big quarter for you. If this play continues, its going to be a long summer.
Heat would get more calls if they didn't whine after every one they didn't get. Officials hate being shown up and Miami throws tantrums after every call.
Mike Miller with no shoes!!!hahaha
if he can keep that stroke, i hope he plays the rest of the quarter in socks
Mia is not in bad shape right now, despite the lack of momentum coming out of the third. They were only out scored by 1 in the quarter despite the fouls. They just need to attack early in the shot clock like they did at the start of the game and continue to drive and kick.
SA needs to continue to push the tempo.
Ouch, dirty play there.
This is the LBJ we were waiting for. He is playing with confidence now
This is the LBJ we were waiting for. He is playing with confidence now
nice of you to show up....6:03 left to go in the game you think you can help pull this out? Thought you were a no call no show tonight....
Where has this guy been?!
No headband and he's playing like a champion!
Sitting Parker for that long might have cost the Spurs this game.
