liked how the cavs started, but then stringing together dumb possessions. Kylie hurting cavs right now. Bad behind back pass leading to warriors break and off balance contested three early in clock. I like him aggressive but not off balance threes with hand in his grill with no passes early in clock. Also lebron on one play handled pick and role as bad as human can possibly handle it. Either switch hard and take the ball handler or stay with your man so he can’t drive. He switched standing up right and watched Durant walk past him and lebron s man roles to basket making it 2 on 1 with lebron watching from there point line.

And after my first post, lebron handled pick and role even worse. He literally takes nothing away. Either stay with role man or stay with shooter, you can’t give them both. Pick your poison. He’s now twice taken neither away and has been standing at theee line while the warriors get layup.

I’ll say this about this game as we hear halftime, cavs playing just as well/smart/hard as warriors. Down by a couple but not due to effort.

We’ve got a game on our hands. Shumpert coming up huge on the defensive end

Notice the lack of defense and the lack of running the offense through KD? They are turning the ball over at rapid pace you can see the difference between a Mike Brown coached warriors squad vs a Steve Kerr coached warriors team. What I had as an easy series win for the warriors I now feel we have a 7 game series that could go either way. The last 2 seasons have shown Steve Kerr isn’t a great coach he’s just in a great situation.

I disagree completely. Kerr is an excellent coach. He took the same team that lost in the first round in 2014 under mark jackson  and made them the best in the league. The warriors offense was designed by Kerr to maximize the strengths of his players in a way Jackson never could. He completely changed the culture of the team and you cannot underestimate his impact.

Brown is an underrated coach as well who I felt got a raw deal in Cleveland and LA. Based on these playoffs, he’ll likely get another chance somewhere. However, Kerr has still been heavily involved behind the scenes even if not on the sidelines during this playoff run.

Watching the first half gave an even greater appreciation for how great Lebron James is. He is just willing his team to stay in this game. Remember when idiots claimed he was not a top player before the championship (conviently forgetting it took Jordan 7 years to win his first title). He is the best player whose entire career I have watched (I only saw Magic’s last season, Bird’s last two, and missed half of Jordan’s career).

I’ve heard the hate about Westbrook shooting bad shots when KD is hot but I’ve seen Steph do it on a regular basis and nobody says anything

Next year won’t be any better. All that means is Lebron getting closer to declining while the Warriors are all in their primes.

I think KD is taking that "LeBron owns his soul" narrative and throwing it out the window. You can tell he loves this match up, and has taken it to LeBron both games. He’s just hungry out there, and is beasting on the boards and defensively.

Some of the blocks he had tonight were just awesome, and that one he had on Kevin Love was insulting.

If Cle is smart they will stop trying to run with the Warriors. It’s just a terrible idea. Kyrie is near useless in these type of games because he’s uncomfortable doing anything other than breaking his man down off the dribble and pulling up for threes. And that’s also worth talking about.

Kyrie has some serious flaws in his game. He didn’t realize it was his time to shine once LeBron was gassed. That 3rd quarter Kyrie should have put up at least 10 shots, but he didn’t. Likewise, his defense has been absolutely garbage. Gets lost on 1/2 the pick and rolls, gets burned on backdoor cuts, and is playing way to emotionally at times. I know the "LeBron effect" is a real thing, but Kyrie needs to step up. It’s what LeBron wants and needs right now.

I know that teams always play well at home, but CLE better come out swinging. GS hasn’t really played all that well these two games, and have smoked the Cavs in the second half of both. The first game they missed more easy layups than I can recall, and tonight they were just throwing the ball away trying be fancy. They easily could have ended the game up by 30+ each of these last two games, and had the games in the bag by half time. Cle can’t count on that playing at home.

Also, where in the world is Tristan Thompson? I don’t think I’ve ever watched this guy play and seen him not have an impact on the game, but he’s been completely lost out there. Obviously KD is the reason because he actually has center size at the SF spot, but still. Throw your body around.

I had Warriors in 6, and I’m sticking with it. Cavs win either game 3 or 4. If they don’t win on Wednesday, it’s over, baring a horrific injury.

Being a Thunder fan since 08 I’ve always known KD relishes those competitive moments with other top guys and teams in the league. Which is partly why his move to Golden State was such a shock

He’s a sensitive guy, I guess he decided to cut down on those competitive moments and just feel the rush once a year.

Tough pill to swallow for the Cavs , If it were true they were outmatched…I was not at all impressed with the non calls GSW continues to get away with. at least not when the officials are calling the exact same thing against the opposition and not GSW.

Starting to believe that ORG crime has reared it ugly head & returned to the NBA Finals more blatently than in previous years again as bigger money is made in extended finals. trying to make up for & ESP with the losses suffered throughout the league in the west being swept and the east nearly swept. Lot of money was lost this year.

So many assume its over in 4 or 5. Because they want to believe the officiating is just bad, not fixed. That short of a series will never happen even if GSW eventually wins the series…and with the way the Warriors had it handed to them it wouldn’t surprise me if the Cavs end up on top again when the officiating turns in their favor or goes cold and plays it evenly.

GSW did a fine job of drawing cheap fouls Cavs couldn’t get a call without getting mauled.

If this keeps up, my interest in the League will die for sure. I am not certain just how anyone can not see what I am seeing and be disgusted by it.

You can deny it all you like, but its there. It is a buisness , and its a cash cow.

Where is JR Smith? Where is Tristan Thompson? Where is Kyle Korver? Kyrie is taking fade away threes 5 seconds into the damn shot clock. Love and LeBron and carrying the team. For a majority of the second half, they were down 10-15 points. If those four players wake up and start playing well, we may have a game on our hands. Cavs also need to play their own game. They keep trying to trade threes with the Warriors. Simple plan if the W’s hit a three: Get an easy bucket, get a stop, and get another easy bucket. Can’t go jacking up contested threes.

All those players are one dimensional outside of Irving who has been awful through 2 games. Korver and JR can’t even get shots off. Thompson can’t stay on the floor because he is useless on offense.

The Warriors offense is incredible but it is really their defense that impresses me most. They are playing with max effort and taking away the strengths of all the role players.

Curry and Durant may be the two best shooters in the league. And when your 3rd and fourth option (Draymon and Klay) are considered by some as better than any player on the Cavs not named "Lebron", its hard to compete.

Regardless of the role players being one dimensional, plays have to be made for them. I don’t see enough ball movement out there. The plays that the cavs were moving the ball it was LeBron finding back door passes. Other than that its been 1-on-1 basketball for the Cavs and you can’t beat the W’s like that.
