Hope this hasn’t been posted yet.

Now let’s be honest here. We aren’t dumb and know that a couple of these aren’t flagrants. But this #34 kid really isn’t coordinated enough to play (just watch him swing his arm down like he has no clue how play D) and was smirking after a couple fouls.

Wow, that #34 kid just SCREAMS living in my grandma’s trailer, pusing 400 lbs and flirting with diabetes by age 21.

Those are the types of kids we used to teach how to "play basketball" after the games.  Clearly that teams squad lacks much talent.  They probably get beat down pretty bad and then put in the 2 bash brothers.  We had a situation kind of similar occur in my freshman year of HS i believe and it resulted in an on court brawl and suspensions.

Those 2 kids are punks and think cuz they are bigger (fatter) are badasses.  These are the types of kids we’d just play the game through typically and then after the game tell them to step outside.  Punks.

Our coaches made us run in HS. We didn’t have players that looked like some of those kids. SMH. And I didn’t read the article so I don’t know where these HS are but there would have been a fight at either of my 2 HS I attended. I would have punched that smirk off that guys face.

Yeah, those teams are 1A, no disrespect because there are a lot of good players that come out of small schools like that, but typically the type of team with no cuts, where they NEED players to come out to feild a 12 man roster.

Still no excuse for the team fat playing disgraceful basketball.

I do not care how uncoordinated he is, he has no intent to go for the ball and seems to be doing his best to flat out destroy whoever touches it. Truly, I think the only one in which the kid even attempts to go for the ball is #2. Other than that, these kids are playing flat out reckless. The third one on #34 should have gotten him thrown out of the game. It reminds me of a non-NBA version of Bynum/Barea.

I doubt coordination had anything to do with a majority of #34 fouls. There was a flat out reason he was in the game, at least that is the way it appears. He obviously had a lot of trouble moving his feet, but none of the things he did were basketball related defensive maneuvers. The guy literally has his arms at his sides and than takes swipes without jumping.

He seems to care less where they are going and pays no attention to the ball. To me, that is a flagrant foul and I am surprised his coach would let this happen. Unless, of course, it was intentional, which is certainly what it looked like. Those refs were really lucky those kids shook it off, because the fact that kid was allowed to club a person 4 times was awful. The other guy just seemed like a frustrated idiot. His fouls were not incredibly dangerous, but were intentional and pretty uncalled for. I think these guys probably suck, but there is little excuse to play like this. I just hope their coach teaches them to play basketball rather than allowing more of what was on that video to happen.

The refs should be fired and #34 is a disgrace to basketball!! Not to mention this guy looks like a middle aged neanderthal. No way he’s younger than me.

I wasn’t excusing the fouls. I was just adding on to the fact that he seemed happy with his fouls, he is just too uncoordinated to play without hurting anyone, whether it’s his intent or not.

at first, I started to go along with your uncoordinated argument, but after watching the rest of the fouls, MikeyV was right.  this is intentional and inexcusable, you know why? because I played against teams like this before, although there were more saavy with their techniques.  but I played against guys like this and they were from rich, spoiled, bratty, private Christian Academies.  they feel they can get away with it and they usually do.  I am not sure if anyone else here has had that experience, but its real.  the refs let them get away with it a lot and are partial to them, remember, this was a home game.

lol im from seattle area, connell is about 3 hours east of here and theres probably about 80 kids that go to the school. they actually have a nice RB/WR prospect named Matt Hadley who has a verbal commitment to BYU. other than that, this video shows the quality of life that connell, wa has to produce

was clearly trying to hurt that guy when he flung him to the floor, when you foul someone in the air like that, you either grab them so they dont fall or you get out of the way…..watch his arms after the initial contact, that is dangerous.

I’ve never played against any kids who tried to pull that crap thankfully. I would of been in dude’s face telling him he didn’t hit me hard enough after the first foul. He’d geek out and try to fight for sure. Automatic ejection.

I think I’m being misunderstood here. I agree that they were intentional. What I’m trying to say is this kid clearly lacks the coordination to play basketball at this level. He could hurt people without trying too, that is my point, him being on the court period is unsafe for the other team.

That is not a "coordination" issue 34 and 42 just wanted to hurt intentionaly… nothing else.

Thats Down Right Unacceptable! The refs should be held accountable for letting all those calls go and the coaches from that team as well for not pulling them out of the game. One thing is for sure refs cannot allow this kind of play, because i played prep in the DMV area and i can guarantee my life the benches would of been emptied after the first call and both teams brawling the crowd would probably get involded aswell.

Number 34 channeling his inner Bill Laimbeer, is this a freshman B game?  These kids are awful.  Bill Laimbeer should have been tossed.

I’m a little bit surprised (I reviewed the video) : all of those kids are supposed to be in HS. So they should be between 14 and 18.

But some connell players didn’t look like kids : they seeme old, slow, incredibly fat, and their face look like more grown men than teens, #20 is already losing his hair….

At this level do they play with players of the same class of age or can they play against 1, 2 or 3 years older players ? (I’m from france and here kids are playing their class of age with levels, but there is some exceptions for talented kids)

If you are good enough you can play varsity as a freshman (or younger) and be 3 years or more younger then some of your teammates and opponents.

EDIT: Just picture it like college basketball. Without the kids leaving for the draft.

ok thanks (almost the same process here)…

#34 really looks like an out of shape 25 year old student, he should stop beer and begin vegetables…or basketball for real.

Yeah no doubt. I remember in 8th grade when I ran track one of the guys next to me looked like he was in his 20’s. Some of the football players I played against looked like 30 year olds. Hell Greg Oden looks like he’s 50 haha.
