I wanted to touch on a few things less obvious than the KD vs LeBron matchup portion of the game.

I was impressed with the way Scott Brooks coached this game – he only played Perkins for 5 minutes and gave Lamb & Perry Jones, 35 & 30 minutes respectively. Derek Fisher hit 5 3-pointers tonight, and turns 40 this year. Honestly, I have no idea how he does it.

I thought Lamb played phenomenally on the offensive end – came off screens, found the open spot, and made the extra pass when needed. If he can fill in the 2 guard role; this team is very scary.

Perry Jones played great defensively, and more than anything I am just happy he got on the floor. I know this is untraditional, but i love the way Jones, Ibaka, and Durant play together as the 3,4, & 5. Neither is your traditional big man, however they run the floor, can switch, and interchange. It just looks very fluid.

I am excited for Westbrook to come back, and to see how everyone fits together. I love the way Westbrook plays, and I just hope they can keep moving the ball like they did tonight.

This team is so young. I am really intrigued to see what happens with them not only this year, but in the coming years. They have a lot of talented young players on this roster. I just hope they can keep most of them together and grow together.

    Just my two cents.

What are everyone else’s thoughts on the bench of this club? the Present? Westbrooks return? the Future?

I was also glad to see Scott Brooks make the adjustment early in the 1st quarter.  I’m not sure why couldn’t make that move in the finals.  I am a big fan of Perry Jones so I was very happy to see him play well!  He defended Lebron really well and made him shoot jumpers.  The Heat kept making mistakes because of the Thunder’s speed and length on defense.  The major catalyst in this game was Thabo.  I couldn’t believe how many deflections and strips he had… I’ve been thinking he was replaceable since he will probably want too much money this off season, but this game may prove otherwise.
