Do you see a suprise here or will the winner of the Kansas-Villanova game win it all?

The thing about Loyola is they have 5 starters that can pass & shoot. I give them a 50% chance to beat Michigan. If they get by the Wolverines to Lose to Kansas or Villanova by 15.

Kansas beat a 1 seed to get to the title game 10 years ago in San Antonio.  They then beat U of M (Memphis) in a barn burner.

Maybe they beat Michigan to win it all.

    Who knows?

Kansas looks really, really good though — some dribble drive stuff, with alley-oops, and tons of 3’s plus great guard play.  That is usually very hard to beat!

This is the year if it’s gonna happen. Michigan is a weak Final Four team, and I give Loyola more than a fighting chance to win. As for a small school winning it all, Butler – Duke might be as close as it gets, and I’m not ready to put Loyola in that Butler team’s class…yet.

In a display of all out greed, the NCAA and CBS will stop every game for a long series of commercials after the first whistle under the 16, 12, 8, and 4 minute marks. That does NOT include team timeouts, which result in addiitional commerecials. If you’ve been watching the NCAA tournament games, you’ve seen coaches call time out with less than 8 minutes to go in the half, but before the first stop of play with under 8 minutes to go.

What happens in that scenario? We have about 3-4 minutes of commercials for the time out, they return to the action, and within 30 seconds, the refs blow the whistle for a foul. This is classified as the 1st whistle with less than 8 minutes to go in the half. So even though 30 seconds earlier, we had to endure 3-4 minutes of commercials, that’s right, they stopped the game again for another 4 minutes of commercials.

I live in the real word and understand the NCAA wants and needs to make money. But 4 planned stoppages of the game each half disrupts the contest and makes a mockery of the game. Maybe they can eliminate one commercial break per half, reducing the total number from 8 to 6?

Nova smoked Kansas the last time they met in the tourny…I see a repeat.  Nova plays close when they don’t hit their shots and they blow teams out when they do.
