     Hello

Well, the Fiba U18 tournament started recently. So far some of the most important results are:

USA: 145 Virgin Islands: 42 (opening game)
Shaq Goodwin: 30 points, 6 rebounds, 18 minutes.
Jarnell Stokes: 19 points, 8 rebounds 22 minutes.
Julius Randle: 12 points, 8 rebounds, 15 minutes.
Rasheed Sulaimon 12 pts, 3 assists, 24 minutes.
John Layman: 7 points, 10 rebounds, 14 minutes.

    Canada: 77 Puerto Rico: 51
Trey Lyles: 17 points, 16 rebounds, 3 assists, 20 minutes
Xavier Rathan 12 points, 18 minutes.
Tyler Ennis 11 points, 20 minutes.
Andrew Wiggins 9 points, 7 rebounds, 19 minutes.

    Mexico: 59 USA: 110
John Layman: 18 points, 2 rebounds, 16 minutes.
Shaq Goodwin 13 points, 7 rebounds, 22 minutes.
Rodney Purvis 13 points, 18 minutes.

Brazil defeated Mexico. Argentina to Colombia.

    P. S. I am from Colombia, we do have a pretty weak team (all categories) but there is one player claimed by Kentucky, Oregon and Providence: Tony Trocha has been good (8 points, 12 rebounds, 3 blocks against Argentina) in a team as I said is horrible. Our hope.

    P. S. 2. Sorry for my horrible English, know how to apologize.

Obviously, the level of basketball in Virgin Islands isn’t high, but Shaq Goodwin had a DAY. Not only that he scored 30 in 18 minutes, he also didn’t miss a shot in the shooting 12/12 from the field and 6/6 from the line.

I don’t think that there is a team that can compete as equal with USA in this tournament execpt Canada, so waiting for their matchup which most likely will be in finalls.

has solid numbers, but I expected him to be leading the US in scoring. Is he playing poorly or is he just playing good team basketball?

Rather disappointed in Wiggins, expected much more out of him.. Then again, he may have a feast against a lesser opponent and get his groove back.

Also Julius Randle, for a guy supposedly rivaling Jabari Parker, had rather mediocre numbers.

As a Memphis fan I am excited about Shaq Goodwin. We should be solid next year. Jarnell Stokes did well in the first game too. I am a fan of his. Wish he could have come to Memphis. I think he can play his way into the lottery next year.

Man, Lyles is killing, great to see Canadian Youth Basketball to finally earn recognition and for Andrew Wiggins and Lyles to represent Canada, even though I lived in Canada for only two years, it was still the best experience for me. With Wiggins and Lyles, Canada has a good chance of winning it all.
