is pretty horrific. The refs are letting lots of plays go that are obvious fouls and calling ticky tack stuff during the Spain-US game. The commentators have noticed the uneven officiating as well. The porous officiating is a big part of FIBA basketball. It makes you appreciate the job the NBA officials do, although the NBA refs are far from perfect and miss key calls as well. The officiating in the NBA is far superior to FIBA officiating.

I watched the first half and saw a couple of obvious fouls that were then called travels for whatever reason. Then Tyson was called for a few touch fouls. Was pretty horrible overall.
I feel like they need to stop calling those fouls where it just seems like the opponent bounces off of our players because they are either not strong or athletic enough.
Bailing them out because they’re weak isn’t part of their job as referees.
