bobbybParticipantWhy dont people think the Pistons have a chance at the playoff? The teams that got better in the east were already playoff teams to begin with, I assume the 2 teams that wont be there next year are the Cavs and The Bobcats. I think the Pistons can sneak into one of those spots with 40 wins.
Nuggets ,why are people so high on them. Do they have a coach? dont they have injury concerns? Carmello might be sidetracted about thinking of next year. I am not saying they are deff out of the playoffs but some people have them as high as a 2 seed.

Tongue-Out-Like-23ParticipantI got the Nuggets at the 5 or 6 seed. Not too high on them, although they got much needed help off the bench with Al Harrington, I don’t see them reaching the conference finals again.
Pistons, they have a shot at that 8th spots. I got the Pacers taking the 8th spot because I believe Roy Hibbert will improve, the addition of Collison will be of great help, Paul George and Lance Stephenson look promising, and hopefully Josh McRoberts is ready to take that next step along with Brandon Rush.

llperezpistons can do it, but i wouldnt predict it. They have talnet but they are a horribly put together squad. They are overloaded on the wings and im not sure how thye are gonna get minutes for rip, gordan, prince, sumers, jerebko, daye and TMac who all play the 2-3 spots. Meanwhile, on the inside they are very weak with an unproven rookie probably the best low post presence, an old ben wallace and a soft and inconsistent charlie V.

Malik-UniversalParticipantas a detroit fan…. our chances imo r slim to make the playoffs or even win 40 games to say the least… our front court depth is pretty weak, we have no inside scorers for the exception of monroe, and hes a rookie, and were pretty young, our time isnt now, its in the future

llperez@universal, i do expect a trade. But i heard a rumor last year that the clippers offered kaman for prince, why would dumars not do that if it was in fact true? Kamn is a legit low post presence and prince is playing the same position as the young guys they are trying to develop.

Mr.Knick 32ParticipantI would have picked the Pistons but they slipped. They did not get Darren Collison and overall, lacked pieces to make moves. Your telling me you’d take Ariza over Prince? I think Detroit will need to move a big contract ( Gordon is the toughest, Charlie V is a easy contract) and start over with Jerebko, Monroe and Daye.
The Nuggets are really good. I think Al Harrington could be the 6th man of the year. He should provide instant offense next to J.R. Smith. Overall, I think they might move Melo during the season but if not, I could see them as a top 4 seed.

boxn1Participantthey have no team i.d. Overpaid for role players in Charlie V and Gordon, and are so thin in the post. They will be up and down, but no playoffs. The bobcats will be back in the playoffs because they play defense, have shot blockers, and are physical. The nets will be in the playoff picture too

ZEOParticipantmy bobcats aren’t out just yet! Yeah we lost Felton n gave up Chandler for nothing but still we have really good young talent on r team. Larry Brown is the best Coach in the Nba to me so I think he get use to the Playoffs.
