IlladelphParticipantDude. Louisville is back in the news again. It looks like Brian Bowen MAY have been influenced by a $100,000 dollar payment to commit to Louisville.

The details are not clear at this point but it looks horrible on the surface. If Pitino survives this scandal then Louisville will have a real credibility problem going forward. Check out the article. It sounds like Pitino knew what was up and he was going on record to point out how clean the recruitment was. Didn’t recruit Bowen at all. Just out of the blue the kid committed to Pitino. Just amazing luck right?

ChrispyParticipantAuburn, Arizona, and South Carolina are touched by this. South Carloina just killed its chances of getting home state hero Zion Williamson. They were going all in on that. Losing any chance at him plus whatever probation will kill a school that just got to the final four. Arizona has huge classes coming in over the next 2 years. Does this push recruits to decommit and look elsewhere? Are those recruits tainted? Also of note, NBA great ”TheRifleman” Chuck Person, now an assistant with Auburn has been formally charged!!!! Wow!

OhCanada-ParticipantHate to be that guy but seriously. The FBI? Im not from the U.S. of A. but dont the Amuricans on this site feel like the FBI should be tackling bigger issues like civil rights, gun control, gang control, drug control or terrorism? Actually dont awnser that if your from the states or you maybe put under investigation too.

ChrispyParticipantBecause this involved money laundering, bribery, quid pro quo and was interstate this then automatically becomes a federal criminal investigation, meaning the FBI at the very least coordinates the investigation while a federal prosecutor is in charge of filing criminal complaints and prosecuting said charges. The FBI is a vast organization that is far more than simply the ani’terrorist task forces of TV and the movies. I am assuming you guys may have something similar up North. Hope this helps!!
