MJBrownParticipantThe one guy that I enjoyed watching as much as any American player back in the day was Drazen Petrovic. For those of you who never got to see "Petro" play, he had parking lot range, and was a gritty, in your face defender unlike today’s Euros who seem to be allergic to D. I remember being devastated when I heard about his death. He was a hell of a player!!

ItsVictorOladipoParticipantMine is probably Dirk followed closely by Sabonis. Wish Sabonis could’ve played in the NBA when he was in his prime.

MJBrownParticipantSabonis could fly before his knees went bad. What a great stroke for a 7’4 guy

stealsgaloreParticipantMy favorite Euro to watch was Andre Kirlienko…
…when B-Diddy dunked all over him.
My favorite Euro to watch play is probably Marc Gasol, he’s not a typical Euro, I enjoy his fondness for rebounding and contact as well as his superb post moves and excellent court vision.

omphalosParticipantCo-sign on Petrovic, after watching "Once Brothers" and realising just how much the game meant to him it was impossible not to like him. Shades of Jordan in his drive and focus, it’s a shame he met an untimely end.

cabbycabParticipantSarunas Marciulionis: He was built like a fullback, tough as nails, and had a porn star mustache to boot. He played every game like it was his last. Nellie would scream and curse him out, but I don’t think he understood what he was saying.

OnionsParticipantSabonis and not even close.
He’s my biggest what could have been player. Bigger than Drazen, Walton, Bias, whoever. I really think he could have been that special.

MJBrownParticipantI love Sabonis, but its hard to call him a "what could have been". He didn’t come to the league till his late 20’s. He had many good years already in europe, its just that we didn’t get a chance to see him in his prime regularly.

OnionsParticipantI think the amount of injuries he suffered would put him in that category. Depends how you look at it.

RafterParticipantPetrovic, who ever he faced, he had the same attitude and that was to beat his opponent, there’s a video on YouTube where he duals with Jordan. He was/is the best pure shooter i’ve ever seen (no disrespect to Miller or Allen) his release was so quick and appeared effortless. Such a beautiful shot, it’s just a shame his NBA career and his life was so short.
He showed that European players can come over to America and have a successful career. It’s thanks to him, that the NBA has such a rich amount of good European players.
