llperezwarren sapp? Really? As a raider fan i hated him. He literally signed a contract extension with the team then immediately told all free agents not to join him in oakland and said the team was crap and that he only resigned because they offered him more money then anyone. He routinely shouted down and and did the wide eye im louder then you crap when guys dared to disagree with him. He is near the top of my list of least liked athletes of all time.

llperezim born and raised oxnard california. Ferguson was born in kansas, but moved to oxnard as a youth and went to highschool there and started mma there so i feel a local conection to him. But even beyond that, he is with out a doubt one of the most excting mma fighters out there. He will take chances like no one else in order to finish a fight. i could talk mma all day and why i like him but its really just a combination of local ties and the fact i think he is exciting. He will be fighting for the lightweight title soon.

Jr. ROXASParticipantI figured haha because when the question favorite fighters comes up, Ferguson is not a name youd expect from casual fans at least. That guy is a beast though. I remember him from ultimate fighter and he has grown a lot especially in striking. His chokes are also super crisp given his looong limbs. The guy has head movement for days too.
It sucks though that UFC is letting him go super under the radar. He has been getting a push lately, as they booked him with barboza in which fight he won. But his next fight… I’ve never heard of the guy!! If anything, he should be getting a no.1 contender fight but Dana always screws fighters uup.

he_gets_bucketsParticipantHe got given a number 1 contender fight against Khabib and he pulled out of it with an injury and Khabib can’t fight in the Summer due to religious commitments. Dana hasn’t screwed him at all.. in fact he’s put him on a fast track to the title despite the fact he hasn’t beaten any of the top guys in his division. He’s beaten one top 10 opponent. His next fight was going to be a good one against a young prospect and fellow TUF winner in Michael Chiesa but Chiesa pulled out and now we are left with him fighting an exciting prospect out of one of the best gyms in the world. Again, Dana hasn’t screwed anything

Anyways Tony Ferguson was born in Oxnard and returned after college and started his fighting career training in Oxnard and Ventura. Regardless, I tend to pull for locals and he qualifies.
