Here is a little fun thing to do. Make your own expansion team. 14 players, 1 coach, 1 location. The way this works is, when a team is added to the league, they get the 4th pick in each round of the NBA draft, also they get to choose players off the rest of the teams in the league. The other 30 teams will mark 8 players untouchable which means you cant have them. Use your own judgement as far as who would be untouchable.  Star players like LeBron, Westbrook, Giannis, etc. would be marked as protected, also valuable role players like Iguodala, Rodney Hood, Eric Gordon, etc. would most likely be untouchable. Also, young players that seem to have a lot of potential would probably be protected. Your team will consist of players who are bottom 5-7 players on their current teams or solid role players who are just heavily overpaid (Wesley Matthews, Luol Deng, and maybe even JJ Redick or Ryan Anderson but Redick and Anderson may be a bit of a stretch).

    Draft Picks:

4th Pick: Michael Porter Jr.- In my opinion he is the best player in the 2018 NBA Draft Class. Should become one of the best players in the league in a couple years.

34th Pick: Luke Maye- I am a huge UNC fan so there is probably bias in this pick as well as many others but I think Maye can become an efficient scorer and rebounder for us.

    Expansion Draft Picks:

Dwyane Wade- I guess this pick also has some bias as I am a die hard Heat fan and Wade is my favorite player ever and I think he can be a good mentor for our young guys as well as providing great leadership and scoring for us.

Meyers Leonard- Stretch bigs are always valuable, can become like a Mehmet Okur for us.

Matthew Dellavedova- Scrappy point guard who can be a good playmaker and shooter. Plays hard on both ends.

Marcus Paige- Another UNC guy, I think he can become a solid role player in the right system.

Kyle Korver- One of the best 3 point shooters ever.

Justin Jackson- Another UNC guy, I like his potential as a 3&D player for us.

Luc Richard Mbah a Moute- Lockdown defender whose jumpshot is improving.

Tony Bradley- Another UNC guy, great rebounder and has the length to become an elite defender.

Norris Cole- One of my favorite pgs ever, jack-of-all-trades-master-of-none.

Sindarius Thornwell- Another 3&D guy with good potential.

    Joe Harris- Knockdown shooter.

Davis Bertans- Another young stretch big. International players who get drafted by the Spurs always turn into very good players so I like his potential.

Boban Marjanovic- He’s 7’4 and also he is another international player that was drafted by the Spurs. Not that it really matters but the "Boban Holding Things" Reddit Thread is a great meme.

Head Coach: Jerry Stackhouse- Stackhouse was a very good player in the NBA not too long ago. He had a long and successful career where he played for a handful of great NBA coaches. He just won the NBA G-League’s coach of the year award coaching Raptors 905. I think that he has potential to become a great coach in the NBA and can use his experiences to be very good at player development as well as Xs and Os.
