Ethan Happ is an NBA player imo. If he declares I say he’s drafted. He was left out of the draft range article. Thoughts?

I couldn’t put this message to a response on the latest draft range article on here, which brings me to my other comment on this same post… I can’t reply to any posts. I can only post. Is there a way to fix this? A little frustrating to not be able to respond. Thanks.

Definitely will be an NBA player imo but will prob return for another season at Wisconsin. Happ is an interesting prospect. He has kind of an unorthodox but effective game. Hes sort of an old-school big in the fact that he has a very nice array of post moves and does virtually all of his scoring in the paint. However, I think his best skill at the next level might be his ball-handling and ability to facilitate the offense and make plays out of the high post. He kind of reminds me of joakim Noah a little in that regard, although I’m not sure if he projects as quite the defender Noah was at the next level. If he can develop anything remotely resembling a mid range jumper it would greatly improve his stock imo.

Hopefully he comes back and capitalizes on the opportunity to be THE number one option for UW. He really needs to stay in the gym all summer and put up a thousand jumpers a day. That lack of a jumper really prevented Hayes from elevating to a top prospect. He has good instincts on defense but I don’t think he has the size or athleticism to stay with NBA bigs. More of a bench guy looking at him now.
