McDunkinSo here’s Zhejiang Bulls Errick McCollum’s stat line from his last game: 82 points on 21 of 35 shooting from the field, 25 of 27 from the line, 10 boards, 4 assists, 2 steals and 5 turnovers in 48 minutes! The 82 breaks Quincy Douby’s record of 75 points from a couple of years ago.
I’m not taking away anything from McCollum, who is averaging 39.6 points per game, but I have to mention that Douby only played 3 quarters and that’s because the CBA has the absolutely stupid rule that says a team can only play 2 foreigners for a combined 6 quarters and since no other foreign player played for the Bulls on this night, McCollum was allowed to play the entire game.
But again, I don’t care how many minutes he played or how bad defense is in China, 82 is 82 and that’s a lot. It’s 1 more than Kobe! Yeah, Yeah I know Kobe’s was in the NBA and his team also won. It’s just a joke – just like that time Kobe scored 68 points (29-33 fg, 10-11 ft) in 15 minutes during a China charity game.
Speaking of big points in China, we have to give a shout out to our friend Bobby Brown, who should be in the NBA, and dropped 64 last month and 74 points and a game-winner in China in 2013.

ItsVictorOladipoParticipantYep it’s the CBA but scoring 82 points on 35 shots is certainly impressive, unless my math is off it means he hit 15 three-pointers!
