negguaryParticipantthe sixers officially announce that Embid will be playing in the summer league. This is really exciting for me because im a die hard sixer fan, but it also confirms him " reinjuring his foot" and having to wear a boot was a hoax so that he did not help us win this year.

MattP31ParticipantI am also a Sixer fan and have experience with foot/ankle injuries from personal experience and a very close family member that has an athletic training and physical therapy background in college/pro sports. While I don’t mind criticism of the team and their plan, I feel like some things are facts that need to be pointed out rather than opinion
The Sixers never had claimed a re-injury. They called it a setback. He did have a setback, the fact that he was experiencing pain and swelling. It’s very normal in injuries like this. The Sixers were cautious and made him put the boot back on due to the fact he was already headed to LA to meet with his specialist for a normal checkup. I have seen him working out in the pregame since then and can say that he was not ready to play based on the amount of effort they had him putting into drills.

Matty1ParticipantHey guys, this post got me thinking about Embiid next year. Assuming Embiid plays starters minutes and is healthy alongside Noel what can we expect from him? I personally think he will be rather raw but could put up some pretty good numbers for a rookie.
Thinking 13 points, 9 rebounds and 2 blocks.0 - Posted on: Thu, 04/23/2015 - 10:33am #976321
