Earl Clark is Underrated. In the 2008 tourney Earl Clark and Blake Griffin Matched up with Clark outscoring Griffin 14 to 8. Not only did clark shut down Griffin he also dunked on him twice. I know Griffin is better then Clark and has improved much since that game. Just saying whoever drafts Clark is getting top five talent and a future Star! May take some time though 2-3 years!

I dont know why he’s slipping in mocks. I think he’s a lock to go in the lottery maybe as high as 6.

Has too much talent to not be a lottery pick

The kid is the second coming of Lamar Odom 100% no one can say otherwise…but he has the same question lamar does…does he want “it”. And i think that is why he slipping a little bit.

Still i see him not slipping past the Bulls at 16.

He would be a nice addition to the Bulls, can play bigs and run and semi shot.

Is he the same type of player as Lamar..I dont see that. he has talent, but I don’t think he has the handle that Lamar has. He just needs to be more consistent. He settles a lot for the deep jumper when he can take the smaller defender into the post and use his size or his strength. He can’t do things as easy off the dribble like Odom does. When the defense is set he struggles and becomes uncomfortable and has a hard time operating. He does have the chance to be an elite talent. He isn’t going in the top 6…He will be late teens or early 20’s

Yeah but he was on a better hill than Clark is now. Odom also played over 36 MPG his rookie season..Not sure Clark is ready for that kind of play. When Odom was in college he was using all his skills and Clark settled for too much at ‘Ville

What people don’t realize is clark is even more athletic then people think. He posted the highest mark on who cant touch the highest with any kinda of jump in the whole draft class. hope you got all that. I am a Louisville fan die hard and there were points in the season where he just looked like he didnt try. And people should know he is not like T-will he’s not going to yell and scream when he plays good. I think some people get confused on if he wants it or not because he lets his game do the talking!

Most of the tools as you guys have previously mentioned, its all about what he is able to do with them..I agree with one of the previous posts, he settled for far too many jumpers at louisville, and didn’t utilized his skill set

Im not dogging his skills or his type of game, but if he wonders why he drops with picks it because of his lack of being more assertive and being smarter on the court. Even if he gets dropped in the draft he can go to a winning team and learn what it takes to use all of his skill sets. If he can cut his turnovers down, he will be even more affective. Does he even have a go-to move…Might have to develop one of those. He wont able to jump over defenders like in college

When I watched him play he did settle for too many jumpers when thats not his forte. In the past though guys who flirt with triple doubles in college often, have been high caliber players in the NBA. I do feel he does not try in a lot of games too. He appears to passive, but that triple double threat is always going to be there with him. That will make teams consider him still early.

I would be shocked if he went in the top 10, the only team that would take a shot is Toronto because they are going to need some athleticism going into next year

I am not a fan of this kid at all because he plays too laid back all the time for me, but the skill set is there. With the passing and rebounding he will stumble into 10points so someone might gamble.

And his offensive system in the half court they had 5 guys who could score double digits in every game they had an different leading scorer .Thats why the nba scouts are down on Earl Clark because he didn’t dominate every game he played in thats not his fault he’s a team player first and he did his job play the system his coach wanted him to .Earl Clark and Jeff Green have similiar type games

I dont think you can totally blame it on Pitino, he had plenty of chances to dominate but took questionable shots and didn’t play with intensity on defense

I don’t think he has good mental makeup, judging his combine interview. There’s something off about him, but hey you don’t have to be smart to be good at basketball.

I’m not saying his not good but this guy most be consistent first with his game, to be a top 10 talent. but over all has a lot of potential and might be a sleeper or steal.

A perfect fit. All of his abilities will come out in that offense, just like Anthony Randolph in GS. We missed him by 1 pick last year. Lets hope that doesn’t happen again. I don’t know why you guys are surprised, the NBA misses ALL the time. Our guess is just as good as theirs.

He is an interesting player. Real physically gifted. I like his future because he has the height and skill set to play 4 positions. This draft is crazy, they talk about drafting players like Tyreke Evans, Jrue Holdiay, and Demar Derozan over proven players that have competed at the mecca of basketball like Earl Clark and Terrence Williams. Im not a Louisville guy, but Clark and T-Will are better and more productive than some of the guys that will be picked above them. Clark is laid-back, but they said the same things about Rudy Gay and (to a lesser extent) Kevin Durant and look how they have turned out

great point iguodala9…. if u could get a rudy gay type player ANYWHERE in this draft would u not take him? the simple fact is that even if e. clark doesn’t live up to his full potential he still will be one of the top 5 players from this draft… PERIOD!
