I have a feeling that IF  they trade him , it would have to involve dumping agent 0. Maybe some time of 3 way trade?I dont think there is anything close to equal value out there. I have seen people post  Lamar/Bynum, it sounds good but how good is it when you get to the playoff and bynum cant play because of injury?

Jim Buss won’t trade Bynum since he "discovered him."  Just watch Jim Buss slowly destroy the Lakers with his stubborn pride.

Dwight needs to come back home to ATL…If I were the Hawks I’d give up JSmoove, Marvin and a draft pick or two

A fun idea could be Cleveland dangle the number 1 pick and the LBJ exception, they could also possibly take Turko for Jamieson to sweeten the deal further.

Lots of the lottery teams could do this type of deal but the LA rumours are always strong although as said above Jim Buss is a huge Bynum fan and as he perhaps takes over more team control from his father then I agree he might be very reluctant to move Bynum.

Once the new CBA is in place and Orlando know what sort of contract they can offer Dwight things will become clearer, Dwight has said he may well test FA but we could have a Melo type situation where there was effectively a mid season sign and trade. Also a lot more teams will be able to put offers on the table then and we may have more idea how the 2012 draft will pan out for if Dwight was traded then Otis Smith would surely want picks in that draft as part of any trade.

The usual contending teams will be mentioned as above and there may be a few others with assets and picks due who throw their hats into the ring.

Why would Cleveland give up the #1 pick to rent Dwight? He wouldn’t want to stay with the Cavs

I proposed this trade a few weeks ago, but the Raptors fans were not really agree with me

I think if Toronto draft Kanter or Valanciunas next week, it could happen !

The Dwight to Cleveland is a long shot and a bigger risk perhaps than NJ took when they traded for D-Will. There has been talk of Cleveland dangling the number 4 pick so there could be an outside chance that they might put the first pick into play to see what offers they might get.

If teams were likely to lose a franchise player then I do wonder if they would be brave enough to turn down a very high lottery pick as part of a deal unless they could start a bidding war as Denver successfully did with Melo.

Utah could be the wild card with the 3rd pick as although they are a lottery team they were a late lottery team so an injection of a franchise level player could push them back into contention much easier than a team like Cleveland or T-Wolves if they looked to trade their pick.

The fun idea here could perhaps be a play for CP3 as the Jazz lost D-Will then why not look to replace him with his fellow 2005 draftee CP3. It would be a risk as CP3 could opt out but Utah could send a package based around the 3rd pick and maybe Paul Millsap for if Utah lose David West then Millsap would be a reasonably priced replacement. Also Favours could perhaps be included so the Hornets get Favours and this year’s 3rd pick when they could take Kanter or Knight so would have two good building blocks right off. Devin Harris could easily be included as well to give Utah an experienced PG especially if they drafted Kanter and if you consider Okur’s expiring deal then the Hornets could perhaps move Okafor to Utah to give Utah a defensive presence and the Hornets get a nice expiring deal.

There are numerous options there and if Utah offered up say Favours, Okur and/or Millsap, Harris and 12th pick for Paul and Okafor then they might get to keep 3rd pick. I know that this does not give NOH that high pick but they get Favours with his nice upside, a PG to keep the team ticking over, an expiring contract and or a PF to replace David West if he moves on. NOH might struggle but they would have Favours in place long term and could probably get a nice draft pick in 2012 and having cleared salary would perhaps find it easier to find a buyer.

Utah would have a franchise level guy in CP3 running the point, Hayward as a nice long term swingman. They could move Jefferson to PF with Okafor at C and with 3rd pick draft one of Kanter, Vesley, Knight etc.
