R-Dot-13ParticipantI hope these guys go out without props and just do their thing. The 6 of these guys can DUNK.
0 - Posted on: Thu, 02/07/2013 - 2:27pm #745353
pistonkidParticipantgerald green has no competiton at all.
0- Posted on: Thu, 02/07/2013 - 2:28pm #745354
R-Dot-13ParticipantAre you kidding?
Have you seen James White dunk before?0 - Posted on: Fri, 02/08/2013 - 2:30am #745596
CynthiaParticipantYou must be one of the idiots on the NBA.com pole that voted for Gerald Green, whom is currently 24k(#1 by landslide) compared to James Whites 7k(4th)…baffling.

Lebron’s HairlineParticipantJames white is a legend dude, too bad he’s 30 and not 25
0 - Posted on: Thu, 02/07/2013 - 2:34pm #745357
For_Never_EverParticipantTerrance Ross and James White are my picks to win it.
0 - Posted on: Thu, 02/07/2013 - 2:34pm #745363
pistonkidParticipantjames white….never heard of him before…lol
0 - Posted on: Thu, 02/07/2013 - 2:35pm #745360
festar35ParticipantGotta go with Green and White. Interested to see what Bledsoe will bring to the table, he has some creative teammates in Griffin, Paul and Jordan.
0 - Posted on: Thu, 02/07/2013 - 2:38pm #745362
FastAndFuriousParticipantIm going with James White……between the legs from the free throw line lol
Gerald Green has bounce, but I think James can beat him.
Dont sleep on Bledsoe either.

Lebron’s HairlineParticipant - Posted on: Thu, 02/07/2013 - 2:41pm #745366
For_Never_EverParticipantI would have preferred a good player that can dunk then James White though. Who is just a run and jump athlete that is riding the bench.
0- Posted on: Thu, 02/07/2013 - 2:42pm #745371
pistonkidParticipantafter reading this i think i now think white will win now lol….http://bleacherreport.com/articles/1520755-james-white-to-dominate-all-star-slam-dunk-contest-twitter-explodes-in-kind
0- Posted on: Thu, 02/07/2013 - 2:53pm #745375
For_Never_EverParticipantJames white is more agile isn’t rigid mechanical like Green is. Gerald movent and body wise is very straight forward.

FastAndFuriousParticipantBut the dunk contest is strictly dunking, who cares about how many points he puts up in a real game, all he has to do is go out there and dunk and that’s what he does best.
0- Posted on: Thu, 02/07/2013 - 2:43pm #745372
pistonkidParticipantfair point…i just had never heard of james white before…

nick5354ParticipantThis is my east favourite event, as each year there is to much focus on the use of props, but I am really looking forward to this. The list is sick.
0 - Posted on: Thu, 02/07/2013 - 2:53pm #745378
aarondsonixfanParticipantIn this overall “West vs East” thing that is happening for All Star Saturday night, the East is going to DESTROY the west in this competition.
East- James White, Gerald Green, Terrance Ross
West- Bledsoe, Manimal, EvansGranted, it’s still an individual event, and James White has already beaten Gerald Green in a Europe Dunk Contest, But I’m excited to see the 3 from the East dunk. I’m not gonna sleep on Bledsoe, though, cuz he’s got some creativity as well
0 - Posted on: Thu, 02/07/2013 - 2:57pm #745385
Chilbert arenasParticipantEvans should NOT be in here, other than that I couldn’t be happier with everyone in there. I said months ago I wanted Green Bledsoe Ross and White, got them all!!
0- Posted on: Thu, 02/07/2013 - 7:37pm #745528
BigChamp12ParticipantI thought i was the only one that felt that way! Evans is not in the same vicinity as these other guys when it comes to dunking!

For_Never_EverParticipantMy other pick is Jeremy Evans being the first person knocked out of the Dunk Contest.
0 - Posted on: Thu, 02/07/2013 - 3:07pm #745396
3 No Biases 3ParticipantThis is one of the sickest lineups I’ve seen and should be a great contest!
Can’t believe they got BOTH Green and White!… Bledsoe should be amazing..

aarondsonixfanParticipant - Posted on: Thu, 02/07/2013 - 3:09pm #745395
drk3351ParticipantGood group of guys to dunk, Green, and White can still put on a show, Evans won it last year, and I’ll be interested to see what Bledsoe and Ross will bring to the table. Wayyyyy better than Derrick Williams, Evans, Budinger, and George
0 - Posted on: Thu, 02/07/2013 - 3:09pm #745400
Chilbert arenasParticipantNO PROPS! NO tribute jersey dunks ( so played out) NO little asian kids asking for their stuffed animals NO phone booths, bring the dunk contest back to what it’s supposed to be please! This is the best group of guys to do it, so excited for all these guys (minus evans)
0 - Posted on: Thu, 02/07/2013 - 3:15pm #745405
Pistol Pete. The PelicanParticipantAll I can say is congratulations to the NBA, they are really putting an effort into improving the dunk contest and putting on a good show. I respect all of the competitors in this competition, but c’mon man, James White and Gerald Green are going to put on a show for NBA fans, this is the most excited i’ve been IN years. I’m so ready!!
0 - Posted on: Thu, 02/07/2013 - 3:16pm #745406
Pistol Pete. The PelicanParticipantTerrence Ross will also be exciting!
0 - Posted on: Thu, 02/07/2013 - 3:18pm #745404
WälseParticipantDamn, I’ve wanted to see White in this thing for years…i just wish we could have seen him 7 or 8 years ago…hopefully, he’s still got it
0- Posted on: Thu, 02/07/2013 - 3:21pm #745413
For_Never_EverParticipantYeah, its likely he loss half of a step from his prime now being 30 yrs old.

0 - Posted on: Thu, 02/07/2013 - 3:22pm #745418
PyronParticipantlooks like green and white went at it before!
0 - Posted on: Thu, 02/07/2013 - 3:26pm #745422
joecheck88ParticipantDon’t sleep on Eric Bledsoe. That dude is small but can absolutely sky!!!
And 6 participants is different. I can’t wait!!
0 - Posted on: Thu, 02/07/2013 - 3:31pm #745425
IndianaBasketballParticipantI’m excited for the dunk competition. This is just a GREAT lineup. This is going to be the best dunk contest in years.
0 - Posted on: Thu, 02/07/2013 - 3:38pm #745427
LindseyParticipantAiight, so I summoned the ghost of Len Bias (rip) just now, and this dude already gave me the low-down on how things play out (we tight like that).
“quote this”
1. James White – There’s gonna be some nasty picture of him — like mid-key, head above the rim with the ball between the legs type ish — that’s gonna make Dwight in a cape seem awfully forgettable. White is 30 y/o, but he’s not getting the burn of most players that age. He’s ripe yo.
2. Eric Bledsoe – Arm in the rim? Gonna be some love given to the little guy in this one. Also since Lebron loves the dude and the league is retarded enough to get him to vote (watch!), he’s gonna get a 50 for a windmill or something meh. Mediocre in the first round but catches a couple nice ones n the finals.
3. Terrence Ross – Dude has mad extension on his things. Gonna put one down where he connects ball and foot like a slingshot. Unfortunately this is all in the first round, as he gets on some 360 east bay brainwaves and 0’fer’s the finals.
4. Gerald Green – Now why isn’t the guy who get’s 50 worthy nastiness higher up? Well the reps high so he goes second last, before Evans the reigning champ. Unfortunately all thats left in this guys bag is jumping high. By then Mr. White will be trending on Twitter, and that whole “kiss the rim” ship will have sailed. 360 behind the back misses as a back up.
5. Kenneth Faried – Goes right after White. Had planned to go free-throw line. Does anyways. Nah.
6. Jeremy Evans – Brings out props. Booed out the building.

For_Never_EverParticipantHopefully, James White still has the between the leg dunk from the free throw in him, because that was 4 or 5 yrs ago when I last saw him do it.
0 - Posted on: Thu, 02/07/2013 - 3:49pm #745429
jmarg25ParticipantWait there are 6 contestants this year?
0 - Posted on: Thu, 02/07/2013 - 4:01pm #745433
Chilbert arenasParticipantI remember being a senior in high school watching James White in Flight in the college dunk contest as a Bearcat. He blew my mind and seven years later the world will finally know what hasn’t been done in an NBA dunk contest.
0 - Posted on: Thu, 02/07/2013 - 4:51pm #745471
scotty2xParticipantThat’s a very good lineup for the dunk contest. All six guys have the potential to do some good dunks. I’m definitely looking forward to see what bledsoe, ross, green, white and faried have up their sleeves.
0 - Posted on: Thu, 02/07/2013 - 4:52pm #745473
Taylor Gang MikeParticipantTRUE^^ but This is nothing new, if you are a true basketball fan like me you already know about these guys and seen most of their dunks already. Im just excited to see a great battle between them. I already seen most of them dunk, but its cool their all on the big stage together.
I have Green beating White in the finals tho

j1232eParticipantDid you all forget who won this last year. Jeremy Evans, thats all I gots to say. oh one more thing he has had time to practise for this event for a hole year now. From the looks of it that is all he has been working on.
