valentineI just watched a video of this game and i must say i’m not very impressed with Drummund. He has the physical tools but he just doesn’t dominate like he should. He played ok but barley out played the Freshman center for St Pat and that kid is only a freshman and had a double double on Drummond. Gilchrist was amazing with his passing, midrange, drives, defense, getting to the foul line at will and anything else you name. They also had a 6 foot guard who was doing work named Gordan. I predict that Dummond will lose his spot as the top player in his class. He has the most potential but he is clearly not the top player right now( based off more than just this game)

Stanford hoops1Right now he is. He actually goes out and dominate. Drummond is liek so many talented players before him that does just enough and doesn’t go hard the whole game

WizardofOzParticipantDrummond puzzles me so much. He has the physical tools to be a force, but instead, likes to roam around on the perimeter instead of staying in the post. He also has a very poor motor. Sometimes, it seems like he just doesn’t care. No feel for the game. I think Drummond is more talented than Coleman, but Coleman has a great motor and imposes his will on oppnents unlike Drummond. Talent will only take you so far.

SteroidParticipantMost players are ranked on what they could be, and not what they currently are…

MalcolmxParticipantDrummond just needs someone to light a match under his ass and he will get the point that he needs to step up.But for right now he is just a bus load of potential. He still gets 15 and 10 while just playing around it just we hold him on such a high ladder.15 and 10 is good stuff

MkadozaParticipantDrummond is like Beasley: He’s too good too young. He doesnt have to exert 20% of his effort to be better than 99% of the kids at the high school level. But hes talented, in every facet of the game. Strength, length, size, speed, athleticism, shooting, post skills, shot blocking, ball handling, passing… he has it all. He just doesnt USE it. He’s Perry Jones with more size and strength.
Coleman has an edge, but conditioning is an issue. He’s Zach Randolph, especially in body language. He doesnt suffer his inferior teammates, for better or for worse. But he dominates the low post like few in the class of 2012.
BUT I will say, the class of 2011 has me way more excited… even though the size in 2012 is unmatched since 2004.

MkadozaParticipantAnd that freshman kid on St Pat, (Dakari Johnson) could be the best freshman in the nation period. He’s already a manchild at 6’9" 235 lbs. Him and Wiggins will both be top 5 players in 2014 when all is said and done.
