BlueRivers25ParticipantGonna be fun. Any UK bandwagon fans from last season still around? Or does UK fans get replaced by a new set every year like their players?

McDunkinRyan Kelly vs Kyle Wiltjer will be one of the premier battles of Matt Bonner clones this season.

McDunkinOhh snap I might need to raise Ryan’s defensive awareness in college hoops 2k8

For_Never_EverParticipantWhats up with Ryan Harrow, is he in the Dog House ?

0 - Posted on: Tue, 11/13/2012 - 7:39pm #728011
akhan786ParticipantPretty classless from Cal imo.
I would root for UK because they’re a fun team and I love watching young teams develop into something special by the end of the year but not with that slimeball of a coach.
The guy just comes off as so unauthentic and fake.

For_Never_EverParticipantI’m surprised by Alex Poythress mobility. He is big wide body for 6’8 player.

Nice pass for the alley

For_Never_EverParticipantNoel being able to shoot free throws for a 7 footer is a big plus for his future.
0 - Posted on: Tue, 11/13/2012 - 6:01pm #727951
BlueRivers25ParticipantDuke is so much better with Cook at pg instead of Thorton.

BlueRivers25ParticipantThornton trying to check Poythress. Smh
0 - Posted on: Tue, 11/13/2012 - 6:14pm #727956
For_Never_EverParticipantStupid foul.
0 - Posted on: Tue, 11/13/2012 - 6:20pm #727958
HaleParticipantNotes on UK so far:
Noel has such an ugly post game and has no awareness when he has the ball, but he’s such a good athlete and he has that presence defensively.
Wiltjer is good, extremely smart, and is going to have a great year.
When Poythress attacks, no one can stop him. He’s an absolute monster when he’s being aggressive.
I like Goodwin a lot, he’s a lottery talent, but he’s got a long way to go in terms of refining his game. And despite they pleas of some guys on here, he should not be the starting PG, he’s not good at it.
Cauley-Stein has so a much more refined post game then Noel, he actually looks like he has decent moves.
0 - Posted on: Tue, 11/13/2012 - 6:20pm #727960
For_Never_EverParticipantWow, that burst of speed Noel showed, when he rushed back to get on D from the other side of the court.
0 - Posted on: Tue, 11/13/2012 - 6:21pm #727961
3–6nerlens defense would’ve been 10 times more efficient in Syracuse zone…
0 - Posted on: Tue, 11/13/2012 - 6:22pm #727962
Lebron’s HairlineParticipantWillies post game is better but it is still bad, when he dribbles while backing down he stares at the ball instead of trying to feel his man and find out which way to turn, he doesn’t have a go too move but with his length and athleticism, he should be able to have no problems getting his shot off
0 - Posted on: Tue, 11/13/2012 - 6:25pm #727964
OnionsParticipantNoel is kind of a weak shit, huh? Plumlee is pushing him around. That kid needs to strengthen his base.
0 - Posted on: Tue, 11/13/2012 - 6:28pm #727965
3–6sulaimon is beasty… he has deadly range
0 - Posted on: Tue, 11/13/2012 - 6:31pm #727968
Tongue-Out-Like-23ParticipantAm I way off base for thinking Kyle Wiljter reminds me of Keith Van Horn?
0- Posted on: Tue, 11/13/2012 - 6:33pm #727973
SiggyParticipantKVH could put the ball on the deck some. Wiltjer looks like he’s got cinder blocks for feet. Reminds me of Nick Fazekas.
0 - Posted on: Tue, 11/13/2012 - 10:30pm #728031
RUDEBOY_ParticipantVan Horn had a much better all around game..Wiltjer seems 1 dimensional….Van Horn could rebound, post up,shoot and pass…Considering the tools he had,I think Van Horn & Eddy Curry were 2 of the Biggest Underacheivers of the past 15 years…..

BlueRivers25ParticipantRyan Kelly’s shooting is killing Duke.
0 - Posted on: Tue, 11/13/2012 - 6:33pm #727969
OnionsParticipantOh my, this kid is good. He’s easily the best freshman on the floor.
0 - Posted on: Tue, 11/13/2012 - 6:33pm #727967
For_Never_EverParticipantYeah, I agree he needs to get a lot stronger. I believe once he gets stronger he is going to be a beast. He is going up against someone 2 or 3 years older than him, that has filled out.
0 - Posted on: Tue, 11/13/2012 - 6:36pm #727974
For_Never_EverParticipantDuke is starting to fall apart.
0 - Posted on: Tue, 11/13/2012 - 6:38pm #727976
3–6Damn you goodwin, how didn’t you dunk that!
i was about to say goodwin is gonna go off when he made that jumper off the dribble from the elbow.
0 - Posted on: Tue, 11/13/2012 - 6:38pm #727975
Tongue-Out-Like-23ParticipantArchie Goodwin will be the best pro of this bunch.
0- Posted on: Tue, 11/13/2012 - 6:44pm #727978
HaleParticipantI think Poythress is going to be a far superior player.
0- Posted on: Tue, 11/13/2012 - 6:51pm #727984
Tongue-Out-Like-23ParticipantI see him more of a Michael Kidd-Gilchrist type player. Energy players usually don’t lead franchises
0- Posted on: Tue, 11/13/2012 - 6:56pm #727988
HaleParticipantNeither is going to lead a franchise, but Poythress brings more to the table and does play so out of control. I like Goodwin, but he’s a lot less refined then I’d like for a lottery SG.
0- Posted on: Tue, 11/13/2012 - 6:59pm #727990
Tongue-Out-Like-23ParticipantI think the only problem with Goodwin is that he plays out of control. If he can get that together, kid is going to be special.
Both players are going to be nice pieces to whoever drafts them though.
0- Posted on: Tue, 11/13/2012 - 7:02pm #727992
HaleParticipantAbsolutely, both players are definite lottery talents who could both go really high in the draft this year. Both will be excellent pro’s.

SiggyParticipantHow many times has Noel been faked out of his shoes?
0- Posted on: Tue, 11/13/2012 - 7:29pm #728004
3–6at one point he’s like, ‘damn, its so easy faking people out… let me pump fake Mason’
***gets swatted***

0 - Posted on: Tue, 11/13/2012 - 7:14pm #727997
akhan786ParticipantWtf did Alex Murphy do to get into Coach K’s doghouse? A 6’8 SF PERFECT for guarding Poythress yet he hasn’t played the last two games when he started in the preseason.
Must’ve failed a drug test lol.
0- Posted on: Tue, 11/13/2012 - 7:21pm #728000
OnionsParticipantThat kid skips his last year of high school to redshirt and then sit on the bench… lolk
0- Posted on: Tue, 11/13/2012 - 7:27pm #728002
akhan786ParticipantHe must’ve done something in the last week because he started all throughout the preseason and also there were murmurs that he was going to start last year if they didn’t redshirt him.
K is always sung his praises about how versatile he is. Quote from Rodney Hood "I’ve never had to guard a white dude as athletic as Alex".
Sure could’ve used that athleticism to guard Poythress instead of mother *cking Tyler Thornton…
0- Posted on: Tue, 11/13/2012 - 7:39pm #728012
SiggyParticipantI heard Jefferson outplayed Murphy in the preseason and Amile hardly played either.
0- Posted on: Tue, 11/13/2012 - 7:47pm #728014
akhan786ParticipantWeird that K didn’t play either….hopefully he’ll be able fit both into the rotation to bring some length in the perimeter and with 7 foot Marshall Plumlee coming back soon this Duke team could be pretty good.
0
- Posted on: Tue, 11/13/2012 - 7:50pm #728015
BlueRivers25ParticipantHe just isnt ready to compete at the highest level. Duke needs someone with his size on the wings. Watching Sheed and TT trying to box out Poythress was hard.

jwostrumParticipantfirst loss at home for coach cal as kentuckys coach. haha, and it won’t be the last. gold last year, fools gold this year. we are seeing what cal can do with a mediocore team, not much. this is just the beggining of a LONG YEAR!!!!!!
