McDunkinIts 37 – 24 with duke up in the first and 30 seconds left
Nolan Smith is looking good. He is the reason for Dukes lead with 13 straight points and a total of 15
DeQuan Jones had a NASTY dunk on Mason earlier (shout out to Stone Mountain GA)

WizardofOzParticipantI’m not watching the game right now, but DeQuan Jones might be the most athletic player in college basketball.

Im Your FatherParticipantNo, obviously it is a huge conspiracy. Mike Krzyzewski has been paying the refs for years, and that is why he has been so dominant.
Or, as unlikely as it may seem, it could be that ALL the better teams in college basketball tend to get the benefit of the doubt on calls and Duke is good at getting people into foul trouble.

bjcart53ParticipantI do think that K has more to do with his success than the refs tho..my point was that he doesn’t even need favorable calls to be successful cause he is the best in the business and im a carolina fan…but im realistic and i respect k

Im Your FatherParticipantOk sorry for jumping down your throat, as a Duke fan I hear a lot of bs about the refs, so it’s a sensitive subject.
On another note, Nolan Smith is a baller.

bjcart53ParticipantI feel ya…but thats what happens when your on top…People find there reasons to why teams are dominant…but unlike other unc fans i refuse to say that is why duke is successful…obviously when coach k built that school to what they are today some other favored teams at the time had to get the favorable calls…so when you build your school up you should get some 50/50 calls…with that said when is my boy kyrie coming back

McDunkinI would say this might not have been the season/impact he expected to have when he came to Duke….not to mention he looked awful tonight. in 18 minutes he went 0-4 and had 4 fouls

bjcart53ParticipantIve seen rivers play a few times…against brandon knight…and his freshman yr when he had 46…and i have yet to witness his attitude…He may have one but i haven’t seen it yet. I still think his talent is too much not to start with the departure of nolan…Only way he doesnt start is if Michael Gbinje and Dawkins start. I can see Mike Gbinje over him sometimes

Im Your FatherParticipantI would venture to say that Rivers will start every game for Duke next year and most likely lead the team in scoring.

MkadozaParticipantArman: Rivers is mixed, but what does that have to do with anything?
Rivers looks like he’s got nothing but crushing people in basketball on his mind. Gotta love that…If he’s 6’5.5" like he claims… teams could be clamoring for a player like him.

the lake showEven if he’s shorter people should clamor for him. He’s skilled point blank reguardless if he is taller or shorter then he is listed. A good/great player is a good/great player

the lake showI truely believe he can do what Ben gordan is doing in the NBA plus more because he’s more advanced then Ben was at the same stage. He can drive, shoot, great step back, stutter step, and when he decides to he is a very good defender. He is the most complete guard i have seen in HS in a very long time. He’s also pretty athletic and has dominated on every level he has played on( the USA basketball games really opened my eyes about him, being the best player in the tournament even though he was a year behind everyone else and with Kyrie Irving on his team)
