Penny Jr.ParticipantSince kyrie irving is going to Duke
and they already have a good gaurd rotation
whos gonna start at the 2
nolan smith or seth curry
i really cant see curry or smith sitting on the bench
so…. will they have a 3 gaurd line-up
or bench one of themLine-up Prediction
1-Kyrie Irving
2-Nolan Smith
3-Seth Curry
4-Kyle Singler
5-One of the Plumlee brothers0 - Posted on: Mon, 04/26/2010 - 7:16am #295503
redheadedbastardParticipantI dont think curry would start at the 3 especially after how singler did at the position this season, i think its curry off the bench with either both plumless starting or maybe hairston

stanford hoopsnolan is gonna start, theres no if’s ands or butts. i didnt think irving was gonna start but hes changed my mind. i think seth comes off the bench and singler starts at the sf while the pumlee brothers start at the 4 and 5. man i dont like duke but they are gonna be very very tough to beat next year. i think the zoubeck and schyer departures are gonna hurt more then people think though

WildDudeParticipantYou can’t sleep on Andre Dawkins who showed promise last year especially graduating a year early from high school… he connected almost 40 percent on his threes, I have a feeling he and Cedric Felix will se significant time.
Although, I am not sure about Ryan Kelly who was one of the better recruits in last year’s class… he doesn’t seem like any playing time will be coming his way, maybe he’ll pull a Taylor King and transfer… although Taylor King played a lot more than Kelly while he was at Duke.

Mr.Knick 32ParticipantDuke added another jewel to the 2011 class in Tyler Adams. 6-9 C who could come in when Mason Plumlee leaves next season.
I believe the Lineup will be
Ivring-Curry-Smith-Singler-Plumlee

JNixonParticipantI think that is a definite possibility, but I don’t see the harm in a 3 guard lineup, especially since Nolan Smith can guard alot of SF’s.

matrix061086ParticipantDuke won’t be starting any 3-guard lineups next year. The starting line-up will be:
PG Kyrie
SG Nolan
SF Kyle
PF Mason
C MilesK has already stated that Kyle will continue playing the 3, and that he wants to keep rebounding as a team strength. That means both Plums starting.
However, there will definitely be times during the game that you see 3-guard lineups. Plus, I don’t imagine that the Plums play together for much of the entire game as both are the only 5’s on the roster.
Duke’s team next year will be so versatile and deep that it is hard to fathom all of the possible line-ups that will be used during games. K will pretty much be able to match up with any team in the nation…not to mention the Devils will be head and shoulders talent-wise above every other team in the nation.
P.S. It is laughable that somebody suggested that Seth would start over Nolan. Smith will not only be a senior but likely first team All-American who averaged over 17 ppg this past season. Nobody is starting over him.
