aivsdirkParticipantboth are athletic. Drummond obviously more athletic but i think orton has a more refined offensive skill set vs drummond’s natural athletic instincts. Orton is finally fully healthy. He will given a new start with a okc team that is trying out young bigs to see how they work in their sytem; i think orton will take his opportunity to get consistent minutes this year. Either way for me personally, 2 bigs who will be in the league for while going at each other today. Most interesting matchup of the orlando part of summer league.
Well this was a match up i was interested in until i saw as the game went on Orton wasnt going to play. I dont understand since this is only summer league why the coaches sit guys who are not injured. I havent heard the anouncers say anything about him. Is he hurt? If not i feel robbed of an outstanding summer league match up.0 - Posted on: Tue, 07/09/2013 - 8:30am #817228

lawrencejdParticipantOrton hasn’t checked in so its hardly interesting. But anyway. I find the Drummond v Adams matchup very interesting. I remember they matched up at Adidas Nations in 2011 and Adams held his own and more against him, the same as he seems to be doing today. They are both loaded with potential to be great but they lack the natural instincts. So the offence from both of them isn’t too great but they are both showing some nice touch today, and are both offering some very nice defense on each other. Matchup of the night for me and potentially of the tournament PERSONALLY. I think that it will be very exciting to see these guys learn and play against each other in years to come!

aivsdirkParticipantWhat? drummond is beasting on rebounds and hustle. I think adams scored once or twice and isnt being a presence on the boards. Drummond would be even more dominating this game if he stopped dribbling, and trying to display overall perimeter skills. Drummond seems to me he is beating himself more than anything adams is doing.

aivsdirkParticipantYou welcome. I hope you realize if okc wins this game its not cuz anything adams contributed. its because reggie jackson got hot, Buyks played well and roberson got hustle rebounds.

aivsdirkParticipantSeriously, dont young guys that have reached a level of being a proven player usually not play in summer league? Why reggie jackson out there? If he wasnt on the team okc would be an elite team in terms of summer league. With him there they are clearly unstoppable. Too nice reggie jackson from okc in summer league call him Mr. July
