Drake or Weezy?
My friend asked me this and I still can't give him a straight answer, there both amazing if you ask me. What do you guys think?
Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch
Obviously when I said Kid Cudi, I meant, he's after the Based God himself.
Idk they both equally.....SUCK... grow up and listen to real hiphop and rap
Immortal Technique. I mean after Based God of course.
Kendrick Lamar he jus dropped a album but its real hip-hop i dnt kno if you guys heard of him yet but he signed with Dr.Dre tho his album is call Section 80 but if you like laid back music with real concepts you would like it... my fav song by him so far is HiiiPower should, check it out... But, primarily I listen to christian hip hop ppl like LeCrae and Trip Lee and a bunch of other artist... but uh If I had to choose it would be Drake I used to love him but now hip hop/rap music is to repetitive for me 2day (money/drugs/sex/women/ and other dumb stuff) who hasnt heard it
M-DYMES world of rap...(guys I think everyone should check out)
Royce Da 5'9"
Bone Thugs N Harmony
Brotha Lynch Hung
Do or Die
Capone n Noreaga
Devin The Dude
50 Cent (The old one)
Jedi Mind Tricks/AOTP
Lil Wayne (the old one)
Good amount to start
Penny knows wassup...HiiPower is my jam. Such a deep and powerful song...and the video is amazing.
lets keep the jeep ridin
Wrd M-DYMES Kendrick Lamar is the truth and HiiiPower is like my anthem at the moment and the video is sick but did you listen to the album yet... 4reall tho if i was to get in a car with anybody on this site and expect to listen to some good music, it would have to be you just from lookin at your list
I cant believe this &$#%#&@!....we went from Biggie and Pac, to Jay Z and Naz, to Dr. Dre and Eminem, 50 Cent and Game, now we are at Drake and &$#%#&@! Weezy...and to think Lil B and Soulja Boi got next. That is exactly why I play guitar!
Yea man the whole album is dope.
I love Ronald Regan Era, Hol-Up, ADHD...damn the whole album is sick. One of the best I've heard in a while.
People need to get his name out more...he deserves it and the world needs to start listening to this brand of hiphop.
EVERYONE sleeps on Clipse. They have some of the most well-produced music (Pharell does their production), and they are talented rappers too. They are a much more sophisticated version on Young Jeezy, but with more lyricism and production. Rarely get any music, but they have a bunch of high-quality songs. Hell Hath No Fury has to be one of the best rap albums to come out in the 2000's, and it gets little to no love.
Kendrick Lamar is bringing us hope. Go out n cop his ish. There is hope. The underground scene has some talent too...you know this as well as I do. Its just 90% of the world is only going to listen to the this gay new age hiphop where all it is about is hoes, money, drugs, cliqueish name calling (YMCMB &$#%#&@!).
Kendrick Lamar gives me hope, as does Lupe and a couple other guys out there on the verge of mainstream, but most of real hiphop only exists underground nowadays.
But to answer your question, I like Lil Wayne better. He's not all that great to me and I'm definitely not a big fan like most people here down South, but he does have quite a few truly good songs (out of the many, many songs he's made, he's bound to have more than a share of good ones). Drake just doesn't have enough of a personality for me to take him seriously. He seems too sensitive and bland for me.
Clipse is dope...I can't believe I forgot to list em.
I haven't heard much of Clipse lately but yea the whole sec.80 album is sick only song I would say I could skip is rigamortis but my fav. songs on the besides Hiiipower is Poe Mans Dream(I can relate on how alot of his uncles, family and friends has been locked-up), F*ck Your Ethnicity, and Tammy & Keshia song's.... and wrd Kendrick brings a more positive side to hip-hop thats worth listening than jus your usual rappers you already kno wat thier gonna rap about, most ppl jus listen to that bs allday but when you listen to Kendrick you atleast get hope or a good message out of it, I cant wait till him and J.Cole drop that joint album togather gets gonna be to sick Cole and Kendrick is puttin underground rap on their back
that is probably the best list i've seen on here, thank you! glad some people listen to good music
Mainstream rap is so crap.
How can you listen to those sell outs?
All they talk about is weed, bi**** and getting money. They're depicting a lifestyle that all thes sheeps can follow. Don't buy into the hype and look at the bigger picture that these rap goons' are creating
Cole world no frozen pizza
"All they talk about is weed, bi**** and getting money."
Isn't that what Biggie raps about as well? How is he considered one of the greatest? Because he was one of the firsts to rap about it?
J-Nixon i feel you on the Clipse
M-Dymes download We Got It 4 cheap. vol.1 and 2. The beats they freestyle might be old these days but thats some of their best work while they were waiting for their 2nd album to drop
Def. will check it out McBased...thanks for the tip.
Blackstar and The Fugees are the soundtrack of my high school days.
I wish I could give u a +100 for that vid post Scottoant93.
Big-time props man. That is hiphop in its truest form.
J. Cole is my favorite artist right now. Im into that new breed. Cole,Wale,Kendrick Lamar.. those type of guys.
That's pretty much what I'm into right now.
