I came up with some trades this morning, snack away

The Warriors trade The 7th pick for Andre Iguadola

    Why?

The Warriors get closer to making the playoffs by adding an All Star level SF and the returning Andrew Bogut, Marc Jackson would likely want to win with Veterans then draft a rookie that could get him fired, Iggy can defend the best SF’s out West while Bogut guards the interior, The Sixers however will trim some cap space and allow Turner/Thad Young and the eventually draft picks to play more with Iggy’s absence in the lineup

The Hornets trade Eric Gordon to The Pacers for Darren Collison and their 1st round draft pick

    Why?

Money, Money and more Money, EG will either sign a 1 year qualifying offer or be extended beyond the means of The New Orleans Hornets, if they trade him to Indiana they can get a good young Point Guard and add another late 1st rounder, The Hornets have a ton of holes to fill, The Pacers whoever could use 1 more player perhaps, Eric Gordon seems like a great fit next to George and Granger at PG, that would be a very high scorer Trio…

The Timberwolves trade Wesley Johnson and Their 1st round pick(Via Utah) to The Suns for The 13th pick(Austin Rivers)

The Wolves have to get rid of Wesley Johnson at SG and he would benefit playing next to Nash for a year at SF, The Suns can pick up Wesley and slide back a few spots and still draft a PG like Teague or Wroten Jr. to replace Nash…The Suns need to add pieces and The Wolves have to add 1, a great scorer/shooter in the draft seems like an Ideal move for Kaun, Austin Rivers could provide a great 1 on 1 threat, but I’ll question his defense until I see him improve a lot…

you probably spelled iggy wrong too but that is less of an issue, how about Blake Griffin and Jordan for Dwight Howard and Turkey glue(spelling)? probably would have to throw in an overpaid vet to make salary match though

Mark Jackson is the former Knick?Pacer and current NBA coach, sorry about that Guy…Now I tried to make semi realistic deals, The Clippers would never trade a Young Blake Griffen for a flip flopping Dwight Howard 3 years his senior…

Maybe the Clippers would be open to a Jordan, Bledsoe, Foye and future 1st for Howard …But would the Magic really take that deal??? I think Not…Troll On Brother…

Eric Gordon is a free agent and turned down the Hornets offer so how could they trade him?

Or as part of a sign and trade, I’m sure the Pacers would work out whatever contract demands Gordon has…

Eric Gordon would be Signed and traded in a sense, which I believe is all totally legal …

I always run into trouble when I make one of these Threads

I like the idea of trading their pick and a player for a trade-up situation. But I think Rivers is the wrong target, because Rivers is too ball-dominant, and too much of a liability on D. I would prefer they put together a better package than just Wes; I was thinking perhaps put together a package of their pick and Williams/Beasley/Randolph (assuming the Wolves pick up both their 1-yr options)/Johnson to try and get enough ammo to trade up for Lamb (more plausible) or Beal (less possible but a much better fit), or to trade for a guy like Iggy or Tyreke Evans.

It involves 2 smaller market teams

If Gordon were going to the Lakers, Stern would have laid the big Veto down on this entire thread

The Wolves would not have to move Heaven and Earth to move up a couple spots and draft Lamb or Beal…

I think they do have to start off the Trade with Wesley Johnson, and their 1st round pick however, and they might have to sweeten the deal cash or future draft picks

The trade partner I can see them Working with is Detroit , they have plenty of Guards in The Motor City but they lack size, I think the Pistons would trade back in the Draft if all the Bigs they covet are gone by the time they pick

I think the Pistons would love a package of Johnson, Darko and The Wolves 1st round pick for Tayshaun Prince and The Pistons 1st round pick…

No way in the world we would want darko back and plus why would we want wesley johnson  when  he’s  a downgrade to tayshaun prince… If joe did that he will have a one way ticket out of detroit

Good call.  Do the Hornets want Collison back after he’s seemd to disgress somewhat since he left New Orleans? I guess they can use anything at this point..

I think it would be more about $$$ than anything else

Darren Collison had some success there at PG, sure it was a short stint but he’s familiar to the City and would be a way cheaper option at this point, The Hornets have to gain pieces without bloating their payroll

I think Gordon’s extension would have been a terrible move for THEM, but it’s brilliant for Indiana

The Pacers would be getting a home grown player to add the trio of Granger, Hibbert and George

Hill, Barbosa and Hansbrough round out a solid bench

Eric Gordon would be the starting PG in Indiana, he’d play a Gilbert Arenas type of role IMO

Darren Collison would be the starting PG in New Orleans(Jarret Jack seems like a good backup on a Contender)

The Hornets would surround Collison, Okefor and Aminu with a SG and PF in the Lottery(Lamb, Beal, Rivers, Ross, Robinson, Sullinger, Drummond, Barnes and Perry Jones are all on their radar) any combo of prospect in the lottery would be a great start, not to mention the late 1st rounder they’d get from Indiana, a pick that could hold some value down the road…

NO WAY does Gordon play point guard, sorry just not happening, he’s a very capeable passer and ball handler, but he’s not a starting point guard, he’s a two

I think the pistons should trade Villanueva and Prince for JaVale McGee …Or they should see what washington is offering for Andray Blatche because he should be on his way out of washington with his attitude; Which would get corrected quickly in detroit .

now that NO has an owner (Saints owner Tom Benson). I think it takes a majority of owners to veto a trade now, maybe 2/3 majority.

If Gordon was going to come to Indiana it would most likely be Collison and Granger heading to the Big Easy.

Gordon is not an All Star locked up for the next 5 years, he’s a young fringe All Star with serious injury concern and no extension as of today…

I think Indiana could get him for Collison, Their 1st round draft pick and Cash

Gordon would be extended in Indiana, he holds the cards to his future…He has the chance to Go Home and play a very young and upcoming Team in the Eastern Conference

E.Gordon-P.George-Granger-West-Hibbert-Hill-Barbosa-Hansbrough is a very good 8 man rotation, they’d need one or 2 backup bigs to be complete…

There is no way demps would trade Gordon for Collison and a late 1st. Gordon was the key piece in the cp trade, and the front office will fight to keep him even if it meant over paying

they just need to make sure they can get terrence ross or another off ball shooting 2 guard. Rivers is a terrible fit for them. They need a guy that has a similar style to rip hamilton, who is great off the ball and who can shoot.

Teams pretty much never trade for a player whom they have traded away themselves.

Also, no matter how brilliant any trade idea might be, it will get ripped to shreads on here.

I actually like Iggy to GS for the 7th pick. I think a little more needs to come back to Philly though.

I’d like to see the Hawks shop Horford a little bit, money is going to get very tight these next few years with Joe’s contract and a Josh extension possible. See how high of a pick you could get for him at least.

I could see Houston maybe looking to do something as they seem to have levelled out as an 8th seed to late lottery team and with some nice pieces and a couple of first rounders, Daryl Morey has options.

There could be trade ups especially when you consider that Portland and NOH both have two top 11 picks, GSW are double handed in the first round as are Cleveland who also have two nice early second rounders. Also Boston have 22nd and 23rd picks, what would that trade up to I wonder maybe late lottery.

I could see the Knicks maybe looking to buy into the first round if they see a player they like as would the Nets also potentially.

Hmm, that’s an intersting one I actually like our 7th for Iggy, Iggy is not the player he was 3 years ago, and I believe that he won’t be more than a 11 ppg guy that plays D for the rest of his career, but if we can put out Klay, and Steph, but have defensive stoppers in Iggy and Bogut, with a 20 and 10 guy in Lee, and knock down shooters in Klay and Steph, with Brandon Rush, Dorrell Wright, and Nate Robinson off the bench, that’s great, and plus hopefully we could steal Kenneth Faried like guy with the Spurs’ very late first rounder.

#1. Josh Smith,Zaza Pachulia,#23 for Andre Iguodala & either Nikola Vucevic or Spencer Hawes

#2. Pau Gasol for Luis Scola,Kevin Martin, Donatas Motiejunas and #14

Everything else is up in the air IMO.
