The Scare Crow ReturnsParticipantWith if the Wizards go with Demarcus Cousins with the 1th pick instead of J.Wall…Realistically this could happen…what if the Wizards see what most of us agree looks like a big time Center prospect with unmatched size and skills for his age…His potential is has high as Wall’s…both are 20/10 guys at their positions if they meet that potential…The Wizards have to know the cant trade Arenas and Cant Really on the front court in place…they could use help IMO….
1.Why wouldn’t drafting Cousin’s be the best move if we’re going on Wall meeting his potential and Cuz doing the same thing….
2.What effect would this have on the draft….
3.What Would the Sixers do at 2….Draft Wall or Turner…
4. What do New Jersey and T’Wolves do now that the players they covet are 1 spot closer…
5. Would Wall falling out of the top spot(where he has been forever I know) Change the entire landscape of the draft….0 - Posted on: Mon, 05/31/2010 - 6:47pm #324514
the I in winParticipantIt would change the plans of the teams drafting in the first 5 spots after that the draft would be back to what we expect or until someone else makes a stretch.

tli232Ok… let’s work this out;
1. Cousins: Washington takes this dude, fine.
2. John Wall: It’s Philly, they’re missing a top flight PG. Wall will help push Jrue Holiday as well, making both players better
3. Evan Turner: No way Jersey passes on Turner as he would be a huge upgrade over Courtney Lee, who’ll become a lethal 6th man now.
4. Favours: Each year, Minny tries to trade Al, but can’t get fair value back. So, when Favours is on the board, they can’t help but see a nice fit BESIDE Jefferson/Love, making a great 3 big rotation.
5. Wes Johnson: Kings had Nocioni/ Donte Green playing the 3. Wes Johnson is a big step up as a player who’ll do a little of everythign without needing the ball all the time.
6-13… pretty much, the teams know who they’re going to draft.

Bnix13ParticipantWashington would be dumb to take Cousins at 1, why?
Washington could trade down to 3 asking for Devin Harris, the Nets would then have Wall, Lopez, and the cap room to sign two max free agents. If they can’t get Harris then Yi and Williams. The Nets want to shed about 5 mil in cap so they can sign 2 max free agents either scenario works.
Nets get what they want and Washington gets either a proven starting point guard or a PF to go with Cousins at the 5 and a young SF
Cousins would be there at 3
IF it did happen 2,3 pulls Turner and Wall off the board order doesn’t matter since one or the other will be taken at each spot.
4. Johnson if the mocks are correct and they will pass on Favors
5. Favors if he is there Monroe if not…
At this point the mock 1-5 are more or less gone
Favors could drop from 3-5 that’s really the only big change this would make.

ChabvisParticipantIf Washington wants to take Cousins, then they immediately trade down. Cousins could easily be available at 5, so you are not getting value by picking him at 1.
If for some crazy reason they actually did take Cousins 1, because they thought that if they didn’t Philly would take him at 2, then it would unfold like this (assuming no trades):
1. Wash – Cousins
2. Philly – Wall
3. Nets – Turner
4. T-Wolves – Favors
5. Sac-Town – Johnson
