Draft

For the first time in years the Mavs have a first round draft pick. I think because of the aging Kidd, they should draft a PG. PG is probably the strongest/deepest position in this draft, and even at 22 they could pick up a decent PG. Barea is not the PG of the future but can still be good off the bench. They also need to fix their glaring weakness at the center spot but I don't believe they will have a shot at a good one with the 22 pick.

Who would be a good pick up for the Mavs at the 22 spot?

Draft

I would take a PG if and only if Lawson, Teague or Maynor are available if not i'd draft Terrence Williams. Then take Beabouis with the second round pick we could buy or Patty Mills he can be the next Parker.

Draft

By my take on the draft do you mean what I think about the draft as a whole or about the Mavericks specifically?

I agree. We should only look

I agree. We should only look to draft Lawson, Maynor, or Teague (very unlikely). I wouldn't be surprised if we trade up to get a higher pick. The expiring contract of Stackhouse and the No. 22 pick might interest some team.

If we don't draft a PG, I would love it if the Mavs drafted T Will. I think he is going to be a solid NBA player.

@ jcl

I agree with what some of the other people have said. I would take Lawson, Maynor or Teague. If those three are all gone I would take the next best available, and at this point is kind of hard to predict who that may be, but I do like the T Will selection. Also, in ESPN the Mag, J Ho was interviewed about the draft and said that the Mavs should take James Johnson. I didn't see him play much in college, but have heard he is a good prospect. He is also a Wake alumnus like Howard, and that may a reason he picked him.
