ForTheWinParticipantNow that we are 40 hours and counting til the draft here are some thoughts.
Best player in the draft- Jan Vesely
Biggest bust- Kyrie Irving- Will never make an All Star game.
Biggest Steals-
C- Vucevic- Should be a late lottery pick.
PF- Motiejunas- Should be a top 10 pick.
SF- Vesely- Biggest talent in the draft, should be #1.
SG- Diebler- He sucks I know but he will be knocking down 3’s in the NBA 5 years from now and I doubt he gets drafted.
PG- Freddette- Much better than people think( top 5 talent)
Concerning trades I believe Minny’s best interest would be trading for Iggy and drafting Biyombo with the 20th and letting him develop overseas.
I believe between 2-3 all stars or former all- stars will have new homes by the end of the draft and between 4-6 trades will have taken place.
5 unexcpected Prospects are going to be drafted IMO.
Harrelson,Macvan,Benzing,Bogdanovic, and Matt Howard
This should be a very fun draft!

boshjonesfordParticipantVesely wount be number one but dude is talented in my eyes… some people dont see it but i really hope the raptors pick him up with the 5th pick
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-a9zhY-3ZKM (this vid really shows how talented he is probobly as much potential as the number 1 pick)

Awesome-O-420ParticipantHow can you say Vesely is the best in this draft? The guy drops a ton of passes. How will he catch passes here in the NBA thrown as fast as he can blink? His shooting can be improved upon, his form seems to be ok and looks like it needs only small fixes, but when you’re starting where he is at right now, you’re at least a year or two away. He is long and athletic but he still has work to do on his defensive game – which at this point means his best skill is dunking, which won’t earn him minutes right away until he improves. Don’t get me wrong he seems to have a ton of potential but, most busts are picked mostly for their potential.
Motiejunas is top 10 on potential only. The guy didn’t improve from last year, still doesn’t rebound despite being 7’0 and looks to be comfortable being a wooden chair on defense. Offensively he has it, but how well that translates is a big question mark.
Vucevic has some polish on the offensive end, but I wouldn’t jump on the bandwagon so quick when a player is discovered this late in the process.
And lastly, why would you think Biyombo will be available at 20 for Minnesota? Don’t put all your chips on 20, you may end up going home with a pretty light wallet.
You made a bunch of bold claims without offering any justification, which is usually what trolls do. I don’t think you are, so next time, you should at least explain the reasoning for your claims.

Awesome-O-420ParticipantKyrie is 6’3.5”. And what does him being Australian have against him, are you mad cause he can order a ‘Fosters’ without looking like a douche and you can’t? Concerning his 10% body fat, I remember a much chubbier looking Deron Williams coming into the NBA and doing just fine. (His body fat was not recorded at combine but can easily say it was greater than 10%)

ForTheWinParticipantBro just a few things I was just making a joke about Irving with the Australian thing( trying to call him soft), and I don’t know where youre getting 6’3.5” from when most sites have him at 6-2 and only a few at 6-3. With the body fat I think he would be much more effect if he were more muscular.
What I meant with Vesely is that I believe he will span out the best, even though he does have some flaws, some of which you mentioned.
You say Motiejunas is top 10 based only off of potential but when you look at this draft aren’t most of the other projected top 10 picks?
I see what you’re saying on Vucevic but I’ve gone through his game and I think teams will be regretting not having reached for him in the years to come.
If Biyombo is not there then I would go with Motiejunas or Vucevic, on of those 2 will definetely be there.
Lastly could you specify which predictions were so bold.

GottaFeedTheFamParticipantIll speciify some of your bold predictions:
Jan Vesely as the top talent in the draft is a huge one, dude needs to gain muscle in a mjor way, needs to rebound better, and he needs to learn how to play d(since his defense is supposedly nonexistent- I cant attest to that fact because I have only seen highlight film of him and defense is never shown, but many sites and scouts have mentioned his extremely porous d and thats in euroleague). That doesnt exactly add up to number 1 prospect material in my book.
Diebler as one of the biggest steals in the draft, is that a joke, I shouldnt even have to elaborate on that.
Bogdanovic as a unexpected prospect getting drafted, dudes on a lot of teams radar he led euroleague in scoring and should go somewhere late in the second round.

ForTheWinParticipantYes there are flaws that come with Jan but he will span out to be better than anyone else taken in this draft, and by the way his D is not as bad as scouts/sites are reporting.
Diebler is the biggest steal in the sense that he will almost certainly not get drafted, but have a longer NBA life than a lot of these, I wasn’t saying he is very talented and go draft him ahead of Burks.
My bad on Bogdanovic, must’ve missed seeing him.

You can check his measurements at the combine at the "other" draft website. Who cares what any site says unless it’s an official measurement. Kyrie just under 6’4 in shoes. Combine measurements have been out for some time now…
I don’t think anyone understood your joke about him being Australian. Most people don’t think of Australians and "soft" in the same sentence.

NCarmean18ParticipantThe best player in this year’s draft is without a doubt Derrick Williams. How the Cavalier’s pass up a talent like him is totally beyond me. He has all of the offensive characteristics you could possibly want, rebounds the ball, and can play solid defense against almost all players. This dude is the total package. I honestly believe you need to build around a forward of some sort, and maybe a shooting guard, because more than likely you’ll have trouble building around a point guard.
Chris Paul and Deron Williams are two of the top 5 Point Guards in the NBA, and their teams have done average, until playoff time. Same goes for Dwight Howard, he’s a hell of a player, but they can’t focus their team around him, they need someone their to help him out. I think if Cleveland selected Derrick Williams, he could give them a few more wins this season, start at the 3, and average around 16 ppg and 7 rpg. If the select Kyrie Irving, I predict the Cavs to win just a handful of games more than last year, and Irving to average about 13 ppg and 7 apg. I think you’re getting more out of Derrick Williams then you are out of Kyrie Irving.
As a bonus, Derrick Williams has proven himself, Kyrie Irving hasn’t. Irving played in 11 games last season, while Derrick Williams was posting almost 20 points a game. Derrick Williams has the potential to be a better version of Michael Beasley, and I think that deserves to be the number pick.

PulseGlazerParticipantI like that everyone here just KNOWS what will happen in 5 years. Vesley could be great. He’s a freak athlete. He could also be one of the innumerable freak athletes that do nothing. Derrick seems like the most-sure thing in the draft to me because of his production and motor, while, apparently stats suggest Irving. That’s why they are #1s 1 and 2. The easiest three to make a case for after them are Biyombo, Kanter, and Val because bigs with that kind of potential and certain skills so developed are rare. Of course, all three are HUGE risk reward picks. Playing time, coaching, development plan, and work ethic will all play factors for absolutely everyone in this draft. That’s why it’s considered weak. That’s why I’m concerned with no one knowing who they’re going to draft. They should have a plan for who they draft and how to develop them in place. That’s how unsure prospects develop into stars (see also everything the Thunder do).
