SubZeroParticipantI just wanna say, man do I hate Doris Burke. I about flipped a table when I thought she was commentating the Thunder game last night. I’m this close to muting the tv

apb540ParticipantTotally agreed man. She is brutal. I’d probably go her and Hubie Brown as my two least favorite color people.

SubZeroParticipantYeah Hubie Brown isn’t too great either. Van Gundy and Reggie Miller are 2 of my favorites off the top of my head

drk3351ParticipantI dont like burke either but I think hubie is fine. Miller is really good though.

TRC1991ParticipantI made a post about how brutal Doris Burke was about a year ago, it makes me so unbelievably furious that Burke is commentating on the NBA. Is there not someone else they could hire to take her place?

river09ParticipantI’d rather have her commentating than Van Gundy.. He’s above and away my least favorite commentator..

SubZeroParticipantI really hope Steve Nash would take her place when he retires. He’s a really funny guy and really smart, I think he would be perfect for the job. Although I think a NASCAR analyst would be better than her

Wahoo757ParticipantJust listening to a woman commentating men’s sports isn’t agreeable to me. That’s just me being a sexist a$$ hole I guess.

LazarusMunozParticipantwtf…how can you not like Hubie Brown???
0 - Posted on: Sun, 04/29/2012 - 10:45am #665391
apb540ParticipantBecause I feel like there are a ton of times where him and I are not watching the same game. He almost never disagrees with the call on the court no matter how pathetic it was, messes up who did what on a play often (ex. when Durant had that big block last night he kept saying it was Ibaka; dude does it too often), and he just generally says stuff I don’t agree with.
Plus, the Sixers new color guy (Malik Rose) is awesome so my color-commentating-bar is set rather high lol

TyroberParticipantHubie and Terico are great together. Vangundy + anyone is great.

I May Be WrongParticipantWell Hubie gets the pass from me for being an old timer still getting it done. He’s solid. Him and Terico work together perfectly as more of an old school announcing team.
Doris should probably stick to college or WNBA games but as a sideline reporter, I don’t mind her. I feel bad for the dude who is always stuck with her (that little black guy) cuz he’s okay but Doris brings it down.
I love Malik and Zumoff BTW for Philly. Zumoff is right behind Kevin Harlan as the best basketball announcer for me but Malik is pretty good too. He keeps it real all the time.
Also, you guys really like Reggie Miller? I’m sorry, he’s improved but he’s still pretty bad.
Kevin Harlan, Chris Webber, Mike Brien, Chris Mullins, Mike Fratello and Jeff Van Gundy are all great.

Wavy BagelsParticipantHubie, Doris and Eric Snow are my least favorite.
JVG, Walt, Stacey King, and that color guy for the Raptors are my favorites.

RUDEBOY_ParticipantDoris isnt that Bad..She has some interesting points, she’s funny and she knows the game..The thing about her is we arent USE to Hearing a woman doing the NBA Play by Play..Her delivery is boring though..I dont know many femal braodcasters that will be exciting doing nba games……

F_DA_POParticipantshe’s nails on a chalk board. She never talks about anything interesting. Doesn’t bring any knowledge, experience or personality to the table. She still has a job because people need to be fair to women I guess.

Wavy BagelsParticipantIs it too soon for some "Woman in the Kitchen" humor?

aamir543ParticipantHubie knows an amazing amount of ball, I love listening him comentate, Reggie is OK, Doris Burke is horredous, her voice is laggy and, well, she’s a woman. I’d love to have Stephen A Smith commentate. This man knows his ball and is gerat for entertainment, although I’d rather have him on TNT Inside the NBA. I know 4 guys plus Ernie(you need the token white guy) is a bit too much and they might make some people go deaf, but it would be entertaining as hell. If Bill Simmon’s voice wasn’t so damn annoying and ugly I’d suggeest him as well.

carefulParticipantI like Hubie Brown and he’s really knowledgeable but he kind of sounds like he is my grandpa constantly giving me a lesson on how the game of Basketball works. I gotta go with Van Gundy and Mike Fratello for my favorites.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 04/29/2012 - 4:55pm #665500
river09ParticipantWho enjoys Van Gundy commentating? I’m taking a poll..

TRC1991Participanti think the fat chick from bridesmaids would be more entertaining to listen to than burke
0 - Posted on: Mon, 04/30/2012 - 3:06am #665663
CynthiaParticipantYeah Doris Burke isn’t representing the ladies too well…I much prefer Cheryl Miller.
