In terms of potential to grow as a prospect not playing style.

If you’re gonna make that comparison,

    here’s mine:

    PJ III = Nate Robinson 2.0 + size, – handles, + rebounding, + post game, – athleticism.

Nah, Paul George has a much better outside game. Everything that PJ3 has showed me has been within 15 feet of the basket.

On the contrary, they look alike. It would not have surprised me if some one told me they were brothers.

he could easily be julian wright, but he could also be lamarcus aldridge(not great comparisons but there really isnt any that are good). point is nobody has a clue what he will become, so with 3 posts a day about what he will becom is stupid. Lets wait till next year at this time(after his rookie year to see what he can do in the NBA) and we might have a clue about what he will become until then this is speculation.

Bust 2.0 if you expect him to be more than a average NBA player

Lol. When has perry shown anything to suggest he will be better? His motor just isn’t there. People got sucked in by YouTube clips and completely ignore how soft he plays and how low his motor is. Same thing was said about Randolph. How exactly has that turned out? Jones just doesn’t have the heart and even said he doesn’t like when people expect him to dominate. He said he doesn’t mind being 2nd or third option……..and that’s in COLLEGE. He doesn’t wan to be the man. H is happy just helping the man or helping the man behind the man.

MKG weakness, jumper and………… Not to mention he’s a year younger than his class (should be a incoming freshman). I think there’s a reason why scout have him as high as two and as low as three and has Jones dropping out of the top 10

he has all the making to be a superstar, with some strength and stronger mindset, and the right coach his potential on offense and defense is unlimited hes fast, athletic, and big enough to defend all 5 positions, and his handles, speed for a big man, and length could make him unguardable, he has a smooth jump shot, but for some reason it just doesnt always show results. if he ends up on a team that allows him to be a primary option, he could become really scary… he reminds me alot of a young KG with better handles and a lower basketball IQ

I think he could surprise a lot of people and just end up being a type of steady valuable role player that just hits open 20 footers and makes effective cuts to the basket maybe even develop to be a real threat from 3… Remains a capable rebounder and a defender who can defend 5-3… Never is a star but is a valuable contributor and solid team guy throughout his career. The type of glue guy every team wants and needs to win…

In which case a lot of people will throw up their arms in disgust at the fact he never took over the league and had a couple moons of jupiter named after him…. Which is a little unfair… Too much is being made of his potential right now.. He’s a solid player right now that just needs a little veteran influence to develop consistency… He’ll be solid.. Just my view on it.. I guess we’ll find out.. In 20 years lets return to this question.. Until then I’ll gladly sit back and watch it all unfold..

I really like PJ3 in the NBA he played out of postion at Baylor and will thrive more in the fast pace of the NBA where he can effect the game more with his size and athleticism. I think if he had a pass first PG at Baylor he would’ve put more of a stamp on the game similar to how Harrison Barnes played better with Kendall Marshall

It’s tough to project Perry Jones because of how he seemed to disappear in games. I think that has some to do with him, but I think Scott Drew is a bad in game coach, and this hindered his development. He’s got talent, he just needs to go into a system where they won’t expect him to contribute right away, and can ease him into the system.

I most certainly think MJ would take PJ3 if Anthony Davis is off the board.

I see some Danny Manning in him. Danny Manning made an all-star game with The Clippers. It’ll be interesting to see how the team that drafts Jones uses him. Is he a 2, 3, 4, or 5?

Paul George doesn’t disappear.  Quite the opposite, actually.  Since he came in the league, he has stuffed the stat sheet and made his presence known on both ends of the floor.

And Mr. Cheyenne, whatever happened to you asking Aran to delte your account because you were tired of this site?  That didn’t last long…

I’d rather have you Leave instead of Memphis Tyga/Cheyyenne Lawton…Everybody has a bad day or week so let it go…But what is your excuse for being a terrible poster and contributor to the site…I admit Memphis can beat a dead horse and has posted a Million threads about OJ Mayo and guards like him, but at least he tries to spark Basetball related conversations…

I’m a little tired of seeing you drop some dumb ass One liners on every other thread, STFU and go milk your mom’s titties…

All the Hate on PJIII is actually the best thing that could happen to the Kid, he’ll have a huge chip on his shoulder coming into The NBA…UK Nation I love MKG too, I compare him to a poor man’s Iguadola but he should not be taken ahead of PJIII, players with Jones III’s size and skillset don’t come around every year…Although I will say there is always a prospect that gets drafted for Defense and intangibles alone, I love everything MKG brings to the Table, but tio say he’s a better pro prospect than Jones III is kinda foolish, MKG is 6’6 200 pounds and will have to play Sf a lot of the time because he lacks the outside game needed to play Sg, he’s not the type of explosive athlete that dominate the Sf posistion at 6’6, Perry on the other hand could at some point be a force with his lenght and athletism…I love MKG’s intangibles, you truly can’t teach that BUT will he ever be a 15 to 20 point scorer in The NBA, Andre Iguadola is far better than MKG offensively and he’s only average that while leading the Sixers into the Lottery…The Sixers are better with iggy scoring less, MKG will ahve to be in a similar role in order for his NBA Team to find success…

I don’t get the Hate and Criticism of Perry Jones, he’ll be a fine Pro, he’s got a great attitude and been nothing but a great Team mate and performer in The NCAA, he helped lead his team into the Elite 8 and held his own against Anthony Davis…

I will make a very bold statement, I believe PJIII will have a better carrer than MKG, Anthony Davis and Andre Drummond…I think Perry Jones will shock a lot of his critics in THE NBA…I think he’ll have a Greg Monroe like rookie season, where he hits the glass hard and earns his keep in The NBA while others get the hype, by his second year in THE NBA he’ll be an established starter, while higher Draft Picks struggle to find a role…

Talk about going off on PG haha.  Regardless, I respect your bold claim about PJ3 being better than a bunch of other big names.  I might not totally agree, but I can see why you made the statement you did.
