I’ve read a rumor about kevin love going to memphis for the #2 pick.

I read a previous post about atl trading for rubio. josh smith is on the block.

I haven’t found anything from either team denying these ideas, has anybody found atl/minnesota denying trade rumors about the #2 pick?

First off, about the minnesota trade, is it reasonable to ask for the #18 along with love?
If minnesota performed the trade, they could select thabeet at 2, and a PG or SG at 6.
pg, sg, mike miller, jefferson, thabeet foye at pg or sg? depends on that 6th pick.

with atl, i think they’d select rubio over thabeet at #2. atl could possibly sign and trade bibby elsewhere for a center? or sf, to replace smith.

Veteran: Smith is an amazing athletic version of artest, in my opinion. He can run a fast pace offense, defend pretty well, make an outside shot, but not consistently. With conely mayo and gay, do you really need smith taking outside shots anyway? With smith in memphis’ PF slot, this team could run and score..and defend pretty well. gasol would make alotta things happen for smith as well.

Love is another powerfoward that could work well in memphis. he showed some real skills when al went down for the season, plus alooottt of double-doubles. He’s young. it’d work well and create a solid young starting lineup for the grizzlies. I think love and gasol being able to pass above average, would create alot of opportunities for conely mayo and gay. and each other…period.

the real question i have is, if you’re memphis, would you take smith or love?

Minny throw away last years choice for #2. I think Big al k-lovecombo is way beter than a big al-thabeet combo. I know al is a pf, but half of the nba plays pf at the center position anyways.

Smith is nowhere near Artest at all. He can’t defend on the ball, doesnt understand shot selection, has no post moves, turns the ball over too much, is an immature player….With all of this being said he has all the tools to be a good NBA player, but he has yet to see his potential met. ATL is not going to trade him for just a pick..There will have to be some sort of players to fill his spot. Whoever gets him and decides to play him at the 4 will suffer. he is not a power forward. He has a better chance to play better at the 3. He is not strong enough to guard the PFs in this league

I read today I forgot where that a top Hawk official said theres 0% chance of trading Smith and I agree hes a franchise guy, really young, hometown guy, and most importantly no team would take his 6mil trade kicker
