A quarter through the season, here are some of the players that i think is underachieving right now:

    Chandler Parsons – 20mins 8ppg 2.7r 1.3ast 0.3stl 0.4blk . Even last year when he got that huge deal,he didnt really progressed.

Lance Stephenson – 18.7mins 5.3ppg 3.1r 1.7ast 0.6stl 0.1blk . We all know he can do better, but it feels like he can only do it in IND. Where else and who can they get in return?

Thomas Robinson – Idk. Maybe i shouldn’t really expect greater things from him lol

Ty Lawson – 27mins 34%fg!! 6.9ppg 4.3ast 2r 1stl. Isn’t blending well with the team. Wait or time to make a move? the rockets are barely holding on the 8th seed 10-12 record

Ben Mclemore – 21.8 mins 8ppg 2.2rbs. When is he gonna be ready.. or won’t be the player he is projected to be?

List goes on but I’d like to hear yours

Well my wife has said my performance has been limp lately. I’m not a machine KELLY!!! Accounting is stressful and I cant bend my knees like I use….

    Oops wrong forum.

Agree with all of your candidates. Here’s a couple more

Monte Ellis – Most of us expected a little better production from him and while the Pacers are exceeding my expectations, Ellis hasn’t been what I expected him to be playing with Paul George. (11.6 ppg on 41% fg and 22% 3pt fg)

Michael Carter-Williams – Man, I really wanted him to succeed with the Bucks. And yeah, he’s still young enough to turn it around. But he still cant shoot and is hurting the Bucks spacing. I’m beginning to think he’ll be a drifter in the league unfortunately but we’ll see.

Thomas Robinson? Dude’s ceiling is like 5ppg at this point. If he’s in the D-League I’d say thats fair.

I agree with Parsons. Stephenson hasnt been good since Indy. McLemore was always iffy, and I warned people about Harden’s playing style. He needs the ball in his hands so whoever plays the point with him needs to be great off the ball to have that team do well. Beverley was injured last year and that hurt. Hes a good PG to put next to Harden.

I actually think oladipo has been a slight disappointment. I was kind of expecting a breakout performance and for him to start to move up into that upper tier of sgs. Instead, he has been moved to the bench and is now backing up fournier (who I’d list as one of my biggest surprises so far). Granted, the team is clearly playing better with him coming off the bench and he has accepted that role nicely. Still, I’d be lying if I said I didn’t expect more from oladipo.

In addition to Lawson, Terrance Jones has also been very underwhelming for Houston so far, to the point he has been benched in favor of Clint capela.

Skiles is an idiot he doesn´t play Hezonja and he doesn´t start Oladipo, I know Fournier is balling but try putting Oladipo at tha 3 or put Hezonja at the three and slide Tobias Harris to the 4 or trade him for a big man that can dfefend better than Vucevic.

Nope. Spacing is way more important than you realize, and Frye is holding it down at Stretch 4/OE.

Oladipo is playing great off the bench. Absolutely nothing wrong with a 6th man of the year candidate with even more upside than that.

I think the main issue in Orlando with the starting unit when Oladipo was there was the lack of spacing. While I think everyone can agree that he’s a starter he was also the best choice to bring off the bench because he can actually create his own offense. He’s played much better since being moved to the reserve unit.

Tim Hardaway jr for my hawks.

Given the success of other rookies, I think it’s fair to say Russell has been a disappointment as well.

tony allen-the 1st team all nba defender hasnt been himself so far this season.going scoreless in consecutive games and playing less than 20 minutes for 4 straight games.and a total of 8 minutes in the win over the suns sunday.

also a disappoint to me is the talented kj mcdaniels being lost amongst the many sfs on the rockets.

Wow man, I’ve got to give you more than a thumbs up on that one. I clicked on this thread thinking to myself "Bet ya no one is thinking of TA… everyone just thinks of the offense guys," but yeah, we’re watching one of the best defenders of our generation hit a serious wall. He’s always been a total liability on offense, and teams are definitely exploiting that way more to their advantage this season, resulting in less minutes on his part, but at the end of the day, it just seems like his body has given out on him. He’s one of those guys that always seemed to play with more energy and intensity than the other team’s entire starting lineup combined, but he’s definitely showing his age these days on both ends of the floor.

Z-Bo will age better, because he’s played like an old man since he was 18, but I think TA’s on a quick decline, and that’s one of the main reasons the Grizzlies are struggling as a whole. That man was their identity these past few seasons and set the tone with his defensive and hustle plays.

Kobe Bryant is leading the league in batting average, which may or may not be a good thing.

Parsons has been hurt and isn’t all the way back.  I don’t think he’s worth the deal he got, but given how injured he’s been, we haven’t really found out.

I think Oladipo’s struggles lay more with Elfrid Payton lack of shooting than his.. Hard to compete when the Magic starting backcourt shoots 39% together . I think its a better fit for vic to come off the bench with CJ Watson or Shabazz Napier.. So far his production has been going up.

Still wonder what happened to Lance Stephenson, I think his confidence is just shot..

    Thomas Robinson.Ben Mclemore..  POOP

Both Cody Zeller and Frank Kamisnski are Disappointing maybe the Hornets can merge them to form one decent player.

    Terrence Ross..damn what happened..!!!

Kris Middleton…After the way he played at the end of last year, and the contract he earned, I atleast expected 16 ppg, and he’s only scored 20+ three time on the year. He’s shooting the 3 nicely, but that doesn’t make up for his sub-40% shooting percentage overall. I was hoping he would work on his creation skills more, so that he could create when that offense goes dry. Still a good player having a solid year, but I just expected more.

Hopefully the Bucks smarten up, admit they were wrong about MCW, and try and find a PG who can shoot!

If I were the Knicks I would play some small ball with KP at the 5 and Carmelo at the 4.  In certain situations, that combo should be DEADLY.

I also thought Kaminsky would be a bitter better right now, but he has had at least one decent game, and with Al Jefferson out 5 games, I think he will get a shot.

But, back to the Knicks, to beat the Warriors you would almost need a freakishly talented BIG Small Ball lineup to beat them.  With ‘Melo at the 4 and ‘Zingas at the 5 then that would be a good start…

The Sixers are even worse this year than they were last year.  So, that is a disappointment.  The Grizzlies and Bucks are also disappointing.  Interestingly enough, the Bucks have 3 former Memphis Grizzlies combo guards on their roster.  lol

Terrence Ross has all the motivators in the world and all the reassurance/job security from his organization. He completely blows it in the Playoffs and gets blasted by fans. The organization stands by him 100% and he starts the season with his worst year yet. This is after having a son which you would think would make a man out of him. Then to try to shake him out of his slump Raps give him a 3-yr 33-mil extension basically saying we believe in you and other than the 22-point game against the Lakers of all teams or better known as "the grandpa Kobe show" or "the team that lost to the 76ers" he has shown nothing to deserve it. I have stood up for Ross alot but this year the best thing he has done for the team is get injured. It’s time to put up or shutup he has all the skills to be a star in the league now it’s about applying them.

I had hoped Hibbert might bounce back. Also thought Tyson Chandler would be better.

I thought Anthony “Zombie Eyes” Tolliver would of stepped up with Greg Monroe leaving. 32% fg isn’t good, lucky he is known more of a glue guy than a shooter !!

while many names have rightfully so mentioned above and I share the impression, that Oladipo hasn’t really show what I simply expected him to be but the move to the bench has been good for him and the team but he will be back beeing a big time contributer as we have seen as he came back to take the final shot but one name hasn’t been mentioned.

    Mario Hezonja

he hasn’t got any burn at all the last 8 games or so. Many DNPs and many games with only 3 minutes or less even in blowut wins or losses. I expected MUCH more opfrom him and can’t just believe the fine season of Evan Fournier has something to do with it. Even if T-Rex (pardon Gold Chain) is claiming Porzingis is up with KAT leading the ROY competition and might turn out into a very skilled and über long monster I expected Mario playing at least much more minutes. Is there something going on or just Rookie struggles???

I still think Hezonja will be a good pro. He has quite a few good players ahead of him on the Magic team, who are competing for a playoff spot

Traditionally, rookies are brought along slowly but with Towns and Zinga exceeding rookie expectations I think we are forgetting that rooks take time to develop. For example if you look at his teammate Fournier he didn’t get much run as a rookie, changed teams and is now developing into a handy player. I think Hezonja will be in this boat. Otto Porter also didn’t get much run as a rookie and is developing into a good player….
