An African news website is featuring pictures it claims are from Dirk Nowitzki's secret wedding in the African nation of Kenya.
The photo spread on www.jambonewspot.com appears to show Nowitzki and his fiancee, Jessica Olsson, dressed in African clothing and participating in a ceremony or celebration.
The website, which features four photos from the alleged July 15 nuptials, reports the event was "a traditional kikuyu wedding," commonly known as "Ngurario."
A second article, posted in Newstime Africa on July 18, also covered the wedding, even quoting the Mavs power forward.
"This is one of two wedding set-ups that we have planned to undertake and the ceremony has been very beautiful," the report quotes Nowitzki as having said.
However, prior to the release of the photos, the Mavericks organization earlier this month denied its star player is hitched. It told the Dallas Morning News that the marriage reports were false.
The couple announced their engagement in April.
Olsson is a Dallas art gallery manager whose mother is from Kenya.
