aamir543ParticipantVia Twitter, this shouldn’t come as a surprise, to me the Haslem was a toss up, but I believe the nature of this series was such that the league wanted to send a message and stop this right here right now, the Pittman loss doesn’t do much for the Heat but losing Haslem even for just one game is a devastating blow, he was part of the reason the HEat gutted out Sunday’s must win, hitting 4 straight jumpers to seal the deal, now no Bosh, no Haslem, no Pitman. That leaves teh Heat with Joel Anthony and Ronny Turiaf……………and………..wait for it………….Eddy Curry! Now I don’t know what Erik Spoelstra’s rotation is going to look like for game 6, but I bet you Eddy will get at least a couple minutes. Eddy is not a defensive guy, he doesn’t rebound very well, but he is still a very skilled low post scorer and I know this sounds crazy, but if Curry can establish himself as a big guy that can come in and give them a low post scoring presence, don’t be surprise if gets a spot in this Heat rotation, then again it is Eddy Curry. SHould be a great game tommorow though.

bloodshyParticipantThe NBA wants the Heat to win! They’re suspending Pittman for 3 games because he’s an unproductive SOB and they’re forcing the Heat to tighten up their roster w/better players getting the minutes!
Now, stepping out of conspiracyville for a moment… this seems exactly appropriate to me. The Haslem foul deserved a 1-game suspension, though I would have approved it as a Heat fan. Regardless of Hans’ intent, you can’t allow guys to lay hard fouls on your stars w/o suffering repercussions. Someone has to lay down the law (and he deserves a suspension for it). Pittman’s foul was completely ridiculous. The only reason 3 games seems reasonable is because he’s a first-time offender. Had it been 5+ games I would have been fine with it.

Jlv2012a larger suspension. I guess his non existence in the league actually helped him out on this one. I’m still with Stephenson though. Lebron chokes.

kobyzParticipanti think if the Heat where to be in a 2-3 disadvantage situation in the series then the NBA dosn’t suspend Haslem!
now it easy for the league to do this cause they wouldn’t mind game 7!0 - Posted on: Wed, 05/23/2012 - 1:52pm #673160
HitsterParticipantIt gives the Pacers a boost for game 6 and back on their homecourt, it gives them a good chance to take it to game 7. So the punishment sounds about right, Pittman was an idiot but his loss can be covered more easily.

Tongue-Out-Like-23ParticipantWell deserved. Hibbert and West have 0 excuses (not that they had one to begin with) to completely dominate game 6.

mgreener_34ParticipantIf Hibbert and West don’t get the ball every time down the court then i’m giving up on the Pacers. Hibbert has to demand the ball in the post game six, and look for the Heat to trap. They have no one who can check him now

WizardofOzParticipantThey were well deserved suspensions.

Seamo15ParticipantPutting West and Hibbert down low means James, the only other player capable of guarding down low, will be out of the passing lanes. If the Pacers keep Lebron defending low it opens up the lane for drive and dishes, mid range jump shots and kick outs off the drive that they struggled with last game.

frogmanParticipantI’m glad they gave Haslem a suspension, he did deserve it. As for Pitman, I didn’t really care coulda been one game, coulda been the rest of the playoffs, he will only see time in another game if they are up or down by 30 with 2 mins left anyway.

M-EazyParticipantCan’t help but to wonder what would Artest have gotten for either one of those fouls. RonRon does the Haslem foul and he’ll get around 15 games and if he did the Pittman foul he would be gone for half a season. Haslem only getting a game is bullshiit, and the NBA did that thinking the Pacers would benefit and win game 6 only for Haslem to come back and help Heat win Game 7.
