220ParticipantQuite possibly the best scenario for Detroit. Draft Drummond and he’ll be the opening day center. He doesn’t have a ton of pressure to perform any more than he’s capable of because Greg Monroe will carry the heavy lifting on offense. Drummond will get time to develop and time to play.

The Scare Crow RisesParticipantIf the Portland Trailblazers didn’t fall in love with Lillard at their workout, Andre Dummond would have been pick 6th by Portland…The Warriors had a returning Andrew Bogut and The Raptors have rookie import Jonas Valencunas…The Kings had DMC at C and The Cavs still have Varejoe and now Zeller…Drummond really had no chance at a Top 8 selection when Washington traded for Okefor and Nene and the Bobcats made it clear they were not gambling on a raw 7 footer…
Perfect fit in Portland or Detroit IMO, and when Portland fell hard for Damien Lilliard it worked out to Detroit’s advantage…He and Monroe could become a very very good Pf and C combo with Knight and Stuckey at the guard spots
Detroit got the their Dream Player at 9, but would have also been fine getting Leonard, Henson or even Zeller there had Drummond been gone…
