Derek Fisher is getting up their in age although still can play ball. For most of his career he has played for the Lakers and I think he has been on five championship teams. Does anyone else think that he deserves to have his number retired by the Lakers at the end of the career. Although he never put up great numbers he has been a major part of the Lakers therefore I think the lakers should retire his number after he retires. Does anyone else agree?
I'd have no problem with it. His contribution goes deeper than stats
He's been an integral part of all 5 championship teams, especially the last 2 championships with his leadership and clutch shooting.
I can definitely see his number retired, too.
