DeMarcus Cousins
YES! Let's go! He's been on a roll since he came back from his suspension, he had a huge run towards the end of last season as well, I'm a huge Cousins believer, if I were I GM I would've been calling Geoff Petrie everyday to catch him in a moment of weakness. I know he can turn it around and start averaging 25 and 13 from this point on. I expect him to be the most dominant big man since Shaq.
I was most frustrated with him, but we all know how talented he can be when he stays focused. If he can just hold his anger down he can be more focused on his technique. He's been making better decisions with the ball, more passing.
His career is starting to become eerily similar to Rasheed Wallace's. he acts a fool and can't control his anger then gets disciplined, comes back and dominates for a spurt then the same thing happens again and again. Wish he would go to some veteran filled team that will really let him tap into his immense potential.
he gets the ball on top of the key, drives & tries to draw fouls.. but most of the time he doesn't get the call, & he ends up taking awkward looking shots..
I just posted on a thread how I believe Sac should trade away everybody but him and build around him. I also hated the TRob pick when it happened thinking it was a horrible fit and they missed a golden opp to add Barnes high character and professionalism next to DMC. And if they wanted a big pairing Cousins and Drummond would of been unstppable llke even this year. Cousins could run a PnR wit Crummond all day.
Noel should be there target in this draft but wit T Rob it would be a waste. But Cousins needs to be paired with an athletic weakside shot blocker.
.
Marcus Smart to me is the culture changer the Kings need.
The Kings should try and trade Reke and T Rob for Jennings n Henson.
The Kings also need to play or move Jimmer whose starting to really come on. Dude is averaging lile 9 ppg in 14 mpg while shooting over 44% from 3.
I think Evans would be a great fit for the Warriors because he gives them one thing they lack a guy who can penetrate and finish at the rim. A Reke Curry backcourt would be more dangerous.
Primarly its come from his terrible decision making. Putting up wild shots and rebounding his own shots. Along with that he's been taking too many jumpers. But as of late he's been making better decision's with the ball. Passing out of double teams and ect.
I was going off and praying about we need to somehow get DMC while watching the C's tonight with friends. Damn !!!!! come on C's make something happen. I'm willing to give up Jeff Green and Avery Bradley for it to happen.
Yes they are, they may have to guy their young core of Green, Sully, Lee, Melo and draft picks to get him. Isn't Rondo enough of a head case for them though? I think Pop and San Antonio would be the best fit for him.
I was thinking Lee, Bass, Melo, and Sully (was really hoping we could somehow keep him), cash considerations and a plethora of draft picks I think would be enough to pry Cousins away. Celtics would likely get back another player like an Isiah Thomas, which is actually nice because the Celtics need a back up PG and Thomas is a very ideal back up PG
Who knows what the kings want, the whole franchise is a joke with no direction I think the NBA should disband that team and have some kind of player draft lol
I know, it really is sad. They are my second favorite team behind the C's. If they were to trade Cousins, I'd want them to get the right package for him, but another team needs him desperately, and Dan Fegan recognizes this.
The Kings aren't going to trade DMC to the Celtics for a bunch of guys who have nowhere near the potential Cousins has combined. Why would they do that when the Maloofs understand all to well that they're best chance at becoming relevant against is through Cousins. In fact Cousins is keeping the Kings relevant already and they're not even winning.
The Kings idealistically would rather blow it up and build around Cousins then to trade him. He might give them headaches, but he also puts money in their pocket because Cousins has a lot of fans around the country that subscribe to Kings basketball solely because of him.
Yes sir they are my two favorites. Cousins trade value is incredibly low right now and I really doubt it gets any better because he has no chance of getting his head straight in Sacramento. The package I described is very fair to both teams considering Cousins market value is not good and Cousins new agent is without a doubt pushing him out of Sacramento, Celtics have alot more to offer the Kings than a lot of other teams willing to trade for him. (Mavs, Pistons, New York) SA would be a good place for DMC as well but I don't think Spurs management gambles on him. The Celtics need Cousins more than the Kings need him. I think he ends up in a green uniform by the trade dealine
i'm believer too..since UK days there wasn't any Evan Turner in conversation him and Wall was clear cut top2 for me..
and that type of games just shows his talent and maybe not this year maybe even not next year but one day he will be one of the very best big man in the NBA
Teams with a veteran presence in contention don't usually have the assets to give up which a lottery team like the Kings would want, Boston alongside KG and PP would be a great fit as would the Spurs alongside Tim Duncan. The contending teams holding default high lottery picks are the Thunder (Raptors pick via Houston due) but there would be cap issues when DMC was renewed and he'd only be third option there. Also the Bulls have the pick due from Charlotte but again they would need to probably move Boozer to give DMC playing time so an obvious deal isn't in the bag there.
A team with cap space and who will want to contend again soon such as Dallas don't really have the assets to send as Mayo could opt out for example but again that veteran type team would be good for DMC.
If anyone is getting traded from the Kings, it will be Tyreke Evans and not Cousins. Especially this last few games where Cousins has comeback from the suspension and playing absolutely like a beast. Cousins is not going anywhere I believe, Centers like him don't come around once every decade.

Just gonna get this out of the way, I'm a huge Cousins fan/believer and fully believe that he'll turn it around eventually. That said, he had a monster game against the Raptors tonight. 31 points on 11-18 shooting and 9-12 from the free throw line with 20 rebounds, 4 assists, and 2 steals
