valentinein the beginning i had him in the same catagory as favors as far as not being very impressed(hes easily better at this point). the uconn and unc game didnt change my mind much ( he looked average at best against those teams. but the mor ei watch him the more impressed i get and as the season has gone along he has gotten better. he has very very nice post moves that are better then just about every big man in college basketball. he has a quik spin to either side his man is leaning on. he has a up and under. and power drop step and can face up and make moves. hes not as good skill wise as zach randoplh was at this point but hes very very close to it. the guy can also rebound pretty well. i do think he needs another year but if he does leave he is worth a lotto pick. his a lil immature but i do like his go hard passion that hes showing more and more frequently.

seecocoaballParticipantDemarcus Cousins has upside but if his attitude doesn’t develop, then it doesn’t matter; although, people need to back off and let him grow up, you have to expect that from a young guy of his age. His potential is off the chains, not many guys his size can move agile and use the soft touch. If I see him do a Shaquille O’Neal type move… book it, he’s top 5.

hotshotschampParticipantCousins is a BEAST
Has the best PPG per 40 min avg in the NCAA I do believe.
He’s Productive, when he’s on the court he produces with pts/rebs/blocks and such. He’s more than just hype he’s substance, that’s what I like.
This kid if he gets his head together is gonna go very high.
16 pts, 14 rebs in 17 minutes….thats production/efficiency.

JNixonParticipantYea Cousins has definitely stepped up since that UNC game….He’s starting to “get” it and is looking like less of a stat buff and more like a basketball player and NBA prospect

RUDEBOYWELL..WELL..WELL…I see u guys are seeing now whut i was talking about..When i said Cousins might be a top 10 pick this season..Some of u said””’NOOOOOO WAAAY!! I wrote that waaaaaaaay back in November..If you’ve followed and watched the game as much and as long as i have.. u can see when a certain guy have it…But i’d love to see him return next season…Becuz he has a lot to work on…He could be number 1 pick in 2011 if he continue to improve…But i seriously doubt he’ll be back at Kentucky next fall….

quinceyhodgesthats what happens when you wait for someone to prove that they should be a top 10 pik. i wish ya’ll could also admit when yaa’ll are wrong about players instead of making excuses for them like when a player does well and ya’ll want praise

lalailaParticipantok i’m also pretty crazy high on DeMarcus and i can say “i told you” but if we need to see where we were wrong then ok.. i thought Favors was really better than Cousins and unquestionable #2 freshman with 20&10 now it looks like i’m pretty wrong

IndianaBasketballParticipantI see Eddy Curry (When Curry was drafted, not now) more than Zach Randolph. He’s a top five pick if he comes out next season.

UKWildcat_11ParticipantAhh, I love always seeing Kentucky players get praised like this, after them being in such a slump for forever =) I really, really hope Cousins stays for at least one year more. If he and Bledsoe both stay…oh man. Plus he and Orton would be havin block parties every night
