He’s in trade rumors after changing his mind to sign with the Mavs. Clippers organzation went out of there way to steal him from the Mavs and  now he’s on the block. I don’t understand how players get trashed for not being loyal to an organzation but it’s ok for an organaztion to trade you like the New York stock excahange and no criticism for it. http://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/19692703/la-clippers-gauge-interest-deandre-jordan-trade

I don’t believe that’s the reason why they are gauging his trade value. I believe its because they might lose Blake Griffin to free agency and Chris Paul. The friendship and chemistry between those 3 is very strong. So strong that if any one of them leaves so will all three of them. Since Jordan is not a free agent this year, but he is still under contract for next season, the Clippers are gauging his trade value in case he does loeave when his contract is up in the event that they lose both Paul and Griffin to free agency. This way they don’t end up losing him for nothing.

That’s what I first thought too and it didn’t make sense then I remembered the friendship of Griffin, Paul, and Jordan. This is why CP3 joined the Clippers. This is why Jordan became a good player once Griffin was drafted.

Jerry West knows basketball, He knows the lowest valued shot in the league is a bigman going to the line with a poor Ft%. DeAndre is a liability in the league, Missed Free throws allow a team to get in transition faster than a missed shot..

I imagine most teams at some point or another have gauged the interest on the majority of their players. DeAndre Jordan is the only one of the Clippers top players under contract so it’s not hard to imagine them dealing him if the other two leave. Otherwise it’s just the Clippers getting an idea of how much DeAndre Jordan is worth to others.
