esperanzafleet69ParticipantWow.. just got back from watching the game and I must say Danny green has been one of the best shooters I’ve ever seen. Apparently he has tied ray allen’s record for most 3s In the finals, not to mention shooting like 70% from downtown against the heat so far, and has just been great for the spurs all series long. This kid is the finals mvp to me. I’m truly impressed at how good of a player he has become.

Tongue-Out-Like-23ParticipantThe 2013 Finals in the nutshell:
Danny Green is more confident than LeBron James.

adumParticipantDanny Green was a practice player for the beginning of his career.
Now he’s a important piece on a championship team. Two things come to mind
RC Buford really knows how to evaluate talent
And Danny Green was smart to find his niche in the league and excel0 - Posted on: Sun, 06/16/2013 - 5:54pm #798701

jsmitty104ParticipantHe makes the heat look bad. How do you leave someone that hot wide open. I don’t like understand the heat at all. They can’t put together 2 good games.

JCliff24ParticipantLove seeing that he played the most minutes for the Spurs tonight. From getting cut from multiple teams to being a candidate for Finals MVP. Love it!

Prime TimeParticipantI’ve been a big fan of Danny since his days at UNC. I always thought he was good enough to make it in the league. It’s nice to see him find success after struggling to find a spot early in his career.

brandonmaceyParticipantmaybe if he would have hit some 3s for the Cavaliers, lebron would have more rings, if I was bron I would wanna slap danny green.

GottaBeTheShoesParticipantYou sound like a f*cking idiot.. Danny Green was much younger and he wasn’t near the player he would be until he came to the Spurs and got a lot of motivation to strive to succeed. Obviously Cavs coaches couldn’t get that out of him or didn’t care to. You obviously know nothing about the Cavs when they had Lebron because Danny Green didn’t play a single minute of the playoffs for them. And if Lebron is going to be slapping anybody, he should slap himself and come back to reality. Because he’s down 3-2 and he’s not playing near the level he can.

brandonmaceyParticipanthe didn’t play a minute in the playoffs because he couldn’t make it off the pine. he was a bench warmer. Now he’s on the vurge of being finals mvp. and pop and the spurs organization get all the credit. I guess the spurs just know how to coalesce skill. now go look up coalesce d-bag.

esperanzafleet69ParticipantMore like they have an amazing coach who is great at carving out rotational roles for up and coming players and maximizing their potential. Great organization from top to bottom.

omphalosParticipantYeah I’m not at all surprised by his performance, you could tell back in the GSW series that he was feeling his 3, dude just didn’t seem to miss, regularly hitting clutch 3s to put away the Warriors.
He has a nice consistent stroke, gets good elevation and is an underrated defender.
Hard to believe he’s the Finals MVP though, Parker has been far and away the most valuable guy in every series leading up to this one, that hamstring sprain just slowed him down.

Yeah Danny Green has really grown up since then. It’s amazing how Pop can just unearth these gems again and again.

SpacegrassParticipantGreen’s jumper really developed from freshmen year at UNC to his Sr year and has not stopped getting even better at the next level. He has always been an underrated defender. Maybe not the quickest feet but good length , excellent timing , and very solid fundamentals. Was a surprisingly good shot blocker in college for a 6’6″ wing. You have seen this skill translate as well to the league.
