We are a few games into the NCAA season and sophomore Daniel Hamilton out of UConn has been very impressive. He is still scoring with efficiency but has developed into a team first player and showing leadership and good ball movement/passing. Hamilton has also been very good on the boards. At the time now Hamilton is looking like a top 5 pick with his all around skill set and leadership. I have one more thing I would like to add… Why is he not on the 2016 mock draft and instead ranked 26th on the 2017 draft?

I was actually thinking the same thing today when I was watching the UConn game. He’s been by far the most complete 3 this year with the exception of Simmons, and has impressed me with his ability to rebound and pass the ball. He was touted at a top 10 pick last year, and every mock I see him on has him going late 20’s or early second. I think a lot of it has to do with the fact that he only has a 6’8 wingspan and average athleticism. If he can ever get his 3pnt shot to fall at a good clip, than he might be the next player who we scratch out heads over how they dropped that much (assuming he actually goes in the late 20’s).

On a side note, UConn has been heart breaking this year, losing some very close games.
