RekeDMCParticipantMost of you guys have already seen the letter he wrote to Cavalier fans regarding LeBron’s decision to leave Cleveland. And I must say, the guy has NO CLASS at all.
Where was your team before you drafted LeBron? Oh right, they sucked.
What did LeBron do for you? Made you a perennial powerhouse, took you to the finals once and won back-to-back MVPs. Guess who was on his supporting cast when they made the finals that year: Larry Hughes, Big Z, Drew Gooden, Damon Jones, and Varejao.
What did you do for LeBron? Got him “help” to win a championship?
2008: Added Delonte West and Ben Wallace (still took you to the Eastern Semis)
2009: Added Mo Williams (Eastern Semis again)
2010: Added Antawn Jamison and an OLD Shaq (2nd round)Meanwhile, Tim Duncan had Manu and Parker, Paul Pierce had Ray Allen and Kevin Garnett, and Kobe Bryant had Pau Gasol and Lamar Odom.
And you lash out at him for leaving? Like he “betrayed” you because he wanted some REAL teammates?

IndianaBasketballParticipantF’d up situation here. Dan Gilbert didn’t show any class whatsoever, but neither did LeBron with what he’s done the last week.

OldSkoolBasketballParticipantGilbert would’ve lost a lot of money if Lebron wasn’t there. Lebron is the reason Gilbert is making profit being an owner. I see him selling the team in a few seasons.

bkballerParticipantLebron is the one who has no class…he should feel free to go wherever he wants but Cleveland clearly loved him and he made an hour spectacle on national tv to pretty much spit in Cleveland’s face. He didn’t even inform Gilbert of his decision earlier.
If he was going to Miami and he was a decent human being he would have announced it normally with Wade and Bosh, I bet Gilbert wouldn’t rant like that if he did. Classless, spineless marketing move and his legacy is not only tarnished by his hunger for the media attention, but by the fact that w/e he wins has no real value from here on out.0 - Posted on: Thu, 07/08/2010 - 7:51pm #349888

burningfloodParticipantI’m not pissed at LeBron for leaving Cleveland; I’m disappointed by the way that he chose to leave Cleveland. He could’ve done it quietly; he could’ve done it in a classy way. But no, he chose to make it a circus. He chose to embarrass Cleveland, by not even telling them of his plans. He had no respect for the organization.
LeBron leaves Cleveland to Miami, fine. Announce it via twitter. Send an email to the press. Make a small announcement. Don’t take up an hour of primetime television on ESPN to tell the world how important you are. That just shows what is important to LeBron, or, more importantly, what isn’t.

RekeDMCParticipantIf LeBron had wanted to “spit” in the face of Cleveland fans, he would never have considered returning in the first place.
He made EVERY attempt he could to stay in Cleveland, including trying to convince Chris Bosh to come. All he wanted was some help so he could finally win a championship. If Bosh had not signed with Miami, I am certain LeBron would still be a Cavalier.

marcusfizer21ParticipantYou guys forget that Gordon Gund was the first owner of the Cavs… So technically Gilbert wasn’t the majority owner yet when the Cavs drafted ‘bron… I really really felt bad for Cleveland… I really thought they could make a great dynasty with him…
