Dame was at it again last night, dropping 39 against a game lakers squad who had won 6 out of their last 9. He scored 19 in the final quarter & connected on 6 more three’s as well. Stud.

Portland has now won 6 straight, and sit in the #3 slot within the loaded west. Lillard is no stranger to hot stretches, as he seems to have at least a couple 8-10 game stretches each season where he looks like an MVP candidate. But my question is whether he can keep this up, and not revert back to poor shot selection when the rim inevitably shrinks on him. That also happens every season.

Lillard’s a great talent, supremely confident, and from reports is a great leader too. Is there any scenario that exists where he leads Portland to the WCF this year? Just seems sooooooo tough with the Rockets & Warriors in their path.

For some odd reason, he comes off as the most disliked point guard in the league, and it’s not that he has a piss poor attitude. I can understand that there are popular choice guys at his position, but the overlooks are very disrespectful. I feel like he has every reason to be in the same breath as a diva player that attracts headlines, but he remains to be humble about it like Mike Conley, which adds fuel to the fire in his performances.

Lillard is and has been the most slept on dude in the league basically since he came in. He averages 25/5/5 and gets left off the All-star team. Rose averages 25/5/5 and gets MVP. Lillard has also taken teams that were predicted to finish outside the top 12 to the second round of the playoffs. Beating GSW seems like a stretch, but I could see Portland sneak attacking one of the more well known teams. You can’t underestimate just how clutch he is.

Is his conditioning. Dame looked like he was barely breathing late in the 4th. And he doesn’t get injured.

I’m glad that he and McKill’em don’t bump heads. That tandem will be even more deadly, once they get more front court help.

I am not a hater, Lillard is very, very talented but i think he plays abit too much hero ball down the stretch. This would be my knock on him and why Portland will prob never really seriously contend

he kinda has to play hero ball don’t you think, given his roster,  the fact he even gets into the playoffs consistently as a 6ish seed is impressive

He’s the best player on the 3rd best team in the West that is playing WAY better than anyone expected. He’s also maybe the most clutch player in the game right now. Every other "contending" team has multiple All-Stars, which Portland obviously doesn’t. Maybe his "hero ball" is working.

Once again playing hero ball or not being clutch when his team needs him in the playoffs.  He is a good player, just not elite.

      Shooting 6-23 and 7-18 with 7 turnovers

If I’m starting a team today and picking between Westbrook and Dame as my lead guard, GIVE ME DAME.

He’s clutch, makes his freethrows, is an elite scorer, and will not back down from anyone. I’m not going to say he’s the best point guard or guard in the game (I believe his passing and overall playmaking aren’t quite at the highest level in the game but to be fair neither are his temmates besides CJ), but he’s definitely in the conversation in my opinion.

    THEY SLEEP.

A lot of teams would love to have Damian Lilliard, including my 76ers, anyone with eyes know that Dame is a Cold Blooded assassin with Ice water in his veins

Name a better Isolation scorer in the League, KD, Kyrie, Harden, than who? Steph, maybe, I always attest that Steph would struggle outside of the Warriors system and the space Klay and Draymondgive him him at Sg and C respectively, adding KD gave him even more space, Dame literally only has CO, who almost overlaps his skill set at times…

Dame would have to be at the Top of my wishlist of PG’s simply because he’s gotta feel underappreciated in Portland, and maybe the Blazers push their chips in on another player in the future sans Lilliard, I can’t see the Blazers wanting to part with Dame but I could see Dame’s camp push for a Trade to the Eastern Conference where no disrespect but PG’s like Dragic and Walker have made the All Star Team, Dame would be right there with Kyrie, Wall and company…Please Philly try to trade for Dame, use Fultz and all the Draft Picks lol, give em Kormaz, TLC, Holmes and Euro Stash guys in the war chest Lol…Do everything short of trading Joel, Ben or Dario to get him lol, obviously I’m being sarcastic but you get my drift…I’d love, love, love for my team to land a scorer like Dame, the rest of the NBA fans should feel the same…
