UNCbasketballbumParticipantDoes Dallas win game 3 tonight and make a series of it or do the defending champs go down 0-3?

TC_42ParticipantI would be extremely impressed if Dalls won game 3 tonight, considering it’s not being played until tomorrow.

HitsterParticipantDallas need to win game 3 lets say that, they were a few seconds away from winning game one and game two was nearly as close. But the Thunder know if they can share the next couple of games then Dallas will have a mountain to climb.
Slightly off the subject here but why do some commentators call Dallas the World Champions, they are NBA Champions and USA are reigning World Champions!

Wavy BagelsParticipantI think this series is closer than people think. In total, the margin OKC has over Dallas is only by 4 points, and they only won Game 1 by 1 point. Dallas just needs to make sure they close out their games and utizile their final possessions to get a great shot. And LOL to TC_42 (Sorry for being that guy.).

I May Be WrongParticipantlol I was wondering why this was created…. but yeah I got OKC the next game too and hoping that KD breaks out of his awful shooting slump (although a GW does ease it a bit)

IndianaBasketballParticipantDon’t sleep on Dallas… They were a few plays away from going back to Dallas up 2-0.
People need to realize that this is no longer the regular season. Older teams slacked off just to stay healthy for the playoffs. OKC is in for a fight this series and I wouldn’t be surprised if went 7 games.

ProudGrandpaParticipantWell, one game is going on tonight and it’s not pretty. Spurs up 34 on the Jazz. The Jazz aren’t doing themselves any Favors by shooting 28%, but the Spurs are playing like a team inspired. The Jazz do have a certain PF playing hard off the bench, though…

aamir543Participant^DeMar DeCarroll? I remember him from Memphis but faintly.
Haven’t been watching it but looking at the box score the Spurs’ other players are playing very well, Danny Green and Kawahi Leanord have hit some threes, suprisingly enough the Spurs’ bench hasn’t gotten much run and hasn’t played too well either, Manu and Jack have 4 and 5 respectively, but the Spurs could get out of this one with Tony Parker playing 27 minutes and Duncan 26, it seems like they’re still resting in the playoffs, lol, but the Spurs look good heading into Utah, I liked Timmy’s post D in Game 1, and if the Spurs get into a grinding series with OKC or Dallas, they can play Timmy and Parker 40 a night, and still have Jack and Manu coming off the bench. I feel bad for Manu, he started out the season great, but then went down and hasn’t been a focal point of the offense since he’s returned, but he is still capable of putting it up every night.

sheltwon3ParticipantI think it will be a close series but it will only go 5 games. The games are close but KD has yet to have a good game and they are winning eventually he will have a good game no matter the defense. I think Dirk can win them one but still Dallas could get swept. You don’t give a young team confidence.

Dallas’ reserves haven’t really played well either though. You have to think they’re going to make some shots at home. Young players like Roddy B, Brendan Wright, etc should feel better at home. I expect Terry, Carter, Marion, Kidd, West, etc all to play better at home.
There’s a reason Durant hasn’t played well. It’s because Marion has done a GREAT job. Mavs miss Tyson Chandler, but they’re still a top 10-12 defensive team without him. Carlisle uses that zone to perfection and does a great job mixing up on defense to cover some holes.
