On the night before media day/training camps opening, Wade is no longer a Bull.

I think he ends up in Cleveland as has been speculated all summer, but Miami is always going to have a place in his heart and OKC might be enticing now too. Banana Boat dominating the headlines this weekend

Wade on Cleveland would be interesting. Does he come off the bench with D Rose? Who finishes the game? Wade def wants to be in for the final minutes. Wade doesnt spread the floor with Lebron penetrating dishing to open shooters. Pg Thomas Sg Wade Sf Crowder Pf Lebron C Love. Think is the line up they go with typically at the end of the game. Leaving Rose, Jr Smith, Korver, Tristan Thomson on the bench.

That’s just an atrocious line up defensively though. Crowder is the only guy who defends consistently, LeBron can still defend, but he gets tired towards the end of games and can’t give full effort, Tyron Lue usually tries to hide him on defense, but here you have 3 other players who need to be hidden on D.

I think he fits better in Houston than Cleveland since Houston has quite a bit more shooting and can space the floor better. Wade would have a lot of easy buckets off ball reversals and cuts with Harden and Paul making the defense gravitate to them so much. His ability to slide between the 2 and 3 on defense and play league average defense at both is good for them if they want to go with a super small ball lineup with Paul/Harden/Wade/Anderson/Capella. That line up can do a lot of damage in an up tempo offense like D’Antoni’s. Cleveland I just don’t see the fit, they already have a bit of lane clog. Though great players like Lebron and Wade can always find ways to make their games work alongside each other, especially considering how good of friends they are. Wherever he goes, this offseason has been one of the most wild ones in memory. So many stars on the move.

Cleveland needs to trade Smith or Shumpert for Wade to make sense there. There’s no minutes for all three fo them.

I don’t see how Houston makes any sense at all. Eric Gordon is just a better player than Wade at this point, and there’s no minutes for a fourth guard.

In Miami he’d get his superstar minutes and everyone would defer to him, but their ceiling is the 2nd round of the playoffs. Is Wade OK with that?

In OKC, there will be a lot of times when Roberson’s defense is more useful than Wade’s offense at the close of games. (Same issue they have at the PF spot with Patterson/Melo). Presti knows this. Donovan knows this. Wade knows this.

Spurs would limit his minutes severely, his regular-season numbers would probably take the biggest dive there, but come playoff time if he’s healthy he could emerge as Kawhi’s leading co-star.

If I had to guess, he’ll go to the Cavs and they’ll make a trade to clear up minutes for him, because LeBron will say so.

Shumpert has been terrible for the Cavs. Cavs openly trying to trade him. I agree Thomas, Wade, Lebron, Crowder, Love is bad defensively and doesnt fit together well. I do Like Lebron with the second unit of Frye, Korver, Smith knockdown shooters

Cleveland and Okc both are front runners but are both actually Decent when it Comes to their Sg portion. With JR smith, Shump and Korver for the Cavs and Roberson,Abrines, Ferguson and I’m sure PG13 will see some time at the 2 as well dosent make sense.

I like the Idea of Him on The Spurs and Celtics both being able to Give him playing time as well as him being able to contribute.

Two lesser teams Maybe Denver? A veteran D.wade for their young Core of guards could Be for the better. He rejected the idea of going to Denver a couple years back but maybe the Addition of Millsap and emergence Of Nikola would change his mind.

And Portland? Coming off the bench in a Eric Gordon type of roll. Lillard and Mccollum can both handle and Shoot well will allow A Nice 3 guard Rotation. Maybe even some 3 Guard lineup at times?

Do the Thunder have a chance? Surely Presti tries. They are one of only a very few teams that are realistically contending and the others don’t really have use for him.

The only real contenders are the Thunder, Rockets, Warriors, Cavs, Spurs and Celtics and I’m being generous including Houston and Boston.

I feel like OKC is clearly the best fit especially if they could convince him to become a 6th man and take all Semaj Christons minutes.

Imagine an OKC. "Death" lineup of Russ, Wade, PG13, Melo and Roberson.

A lot depends does he want to be on a powerhouse maybe coming off the bench and not seeing the sort of minutes he is used to or does he perhaps want a challenge and goes to an improving team who may not legit contend but who could be fun to be part of the improvement.

If he was prepared to come off bench then might GSW put out the feelers, getting him stops him going to the Cavs especially.

Houston possibly makes most sense and it gets him back in with a lot of Team USA.

If he looks further afield might T-Wolves be of interest as he’d be joining a couple of young studs and have Jimmy Butler to play with as well.

Bucks might also have a look as a bit of veteran leadership might be tempting for them.

A real long shot could be Philly – Jerry Colangelo will have D-Wade’s number and the chance to play with Simmons, Embest, Fultz etc may appeal to him. The 76ers have signed Reddick but he (Reddick) could be a fantastic 6th man and the chance to have Fultz, Simmons having D-Wade alongside them would be great for them.

Celtics and Spurs will also surely have a look as mentioned by the guys above.

Cleveland has an overload of players. If they add Wade and cut Tavares they still have 18 players on the roster. They should be looking to making some trades for assets like stashed prospects or draft picks.

Regardless of whether it makes sense basketball-wise, if Wade goes to Houston or OKC they are halfway to the LBJ-Wade-CP3-Melo union that reportedly all four guys want, with LeBron a free agent in a year.

I can’t imagine those guys want to live in OKC though, especially after the events of recent days. It might be the most pro-Trump city in America.

Boston could use him.  They have enough outside shooting, but could use another scorer and playmaker.  That would also allow BOTH Brown and Tatum to come off the bench which would give them even more depth on the wing.  Smart would be the top defender off the bench.

Kyrie, Hayward, and D Wade would be a very good starting perimeter lineup (at least on offense).

Now, the Celts need more INSIDE depth and defense, BUT Wade would be a nice addition as a starting 2 guard for Boston.  Brown is good, as is Smart, but neither is a perfect fit next to Kyrie — with Brown being a better option, but maybe not yet ready for primetime.

Another option: The LA Lakers. Yeah, they are in big time rebuilding mode, but they could use some veteran leadership, and, more importantly, some flash.  They will be a run and gun team anyway so no one is expecting Lake Show 2.0 to lock things down… he would also be a good guy to put next to Lonzo (along with Clarkson and KCP).  He can score, ISO, slash, handle the ball, pass, and run the offense.  Hen can run some offense and let Lonzo spot up for 3, dive to the rim for alleyoops, or make hard cuts to the rim.  D Wade can also help recruit LeBron (and whoever else) to LA next year.

My goodness, Chicago might go 1-81. With LaVine not slated to return until January, they’re going:

    Kris Dunn
    Justin Holiday
    Paul Zisper
    Lauri Markkanen
    Robin Lopez

I think there are better teams in the G-League!

That’s a seriously bad lineup. When Robin Lopez is your best starter…something is wrong. Though I will say I still have hopes for Dunn, this change of scenary may be what he needed.

I have Lauri Legend on my fantasy team.

I hope he puts up shots ’til his arm falls off.

BUT, on the other hand, if you are gonna be bad, this might be the year to do it.  Seems like there are a few good players at the top, so they should get a good one, if they do decide to tank.

Usually, teams have no reason to be stuck in the middle.  That is REALLY true this year, with the chasm between the Warriors/Cavs (Celtics/Thunder/Rockets/Spurs?) being pretty wide.

I think you will have some surprising teams hovering around playoff status who decide to tank it after the All Star Break.  Either they wanna get a solid draft pick, OR they are trying to shed salary, or BOTH.

More teams will be Moneyballing It by the end of the year.

Bulls marketing staff is gonna be in for a LONG year.

Maybe they should just roll with it, showcase one of their younger guys and go with a "THIS TEAM IS DUNN!!!!" marketing campaign.

Apparently John Paxson was waiting to use the bathroom and he shouted are you Nearly Done and he got the reply no it’s Kris actually.

Also the more you look at the Butler trade and with Lavine injured and Dunn unproven it makes you realise that Tgibs and co did a great deal.

Chicago had no need to blow it up, Butler still had two guaranteed years on his deal and there wasn’t anything that he wanted out in the media.
