who would you rather select if you had the number 1 pick in the draft and those two were the top players?

I say curry he has exceled as a number one option and you can build a team solely around him.
blake showed you can build a team around him he isn’t the best player but you can compliment his game with shooters but how far does that get you ? chris paul is the leader of the clippers and before chris no one would come to LA.

Curry has players willing to opt out of contracts to play with him(iggy) curry. Even Dwight sat down in looked at what the warriors had to offer he though about the idea of playing with curry.

players would come to la to play with chris paul, get coached by doc, and then play with blake LAST.

chris got traded to LA for a budding injured sg in eric Gordon and more that’s the only reason he even went there hornets were desperate to get something back for chris who was leaving and LA was thirsty they offered the most.

blake has struggled to lead in the playoff many of times putting much the work of winning the game on chris paul.

curry carries the torch night in night out leads his team against some of the best pgs in the league and if they would have had bogut this year they may have went further in the playoffs.

curry is one of the best 3 point shooters in league history he broke a record for most 3 point fg made in a season against hof …..blake hasn’t accomplished much.

there’s many pfs who can rebound, score, at the level of blake if giving the same system..

there’s not to many players who can do what curry does if giving the same system PERIOD in league history.

I take curry who do you take? numbers say hes better also. its not a wash when you pass numbers and the eye test their both good but curry is better and I take curry to build with anyday. ppl have clamied blake to be a once in a generation player no athletic bigs come and go get injured and fade as they age. now curry is something special.

Well, Steph Curry is the better shooter and distributor, but Steve Blake is the better defender.  It’s almost a tossup, but ultimately, I’ll have to go with Curry

It’s not fair to talk about how Chris Paul is the definite leader of the Clips over Blake. Of course he is. Chris Paul is probably the best team leader in the league. If he played with LeBron, he’d still be the team leader. That being said, if you had that choice and you’re starting your team from scratch, I’d probably take Curry. Having a top PG is absolutely imperative  to winning in the league these days. Yes, he’s probably the best shooter in the world right now but he also was able to raise his assists per game to 8.5 which is partially do to the fact he draws so much attention because he shoots lights out and he can break you down off the dribble and get to the basket. He’s not even a good defender but Blake isn’t great either so that’s a wash. I am a BG fan and think he gets too much grief. He’s pretty well rounded, aside from his D. But Curry fills more needs overall for a team starting out.
