You write scouting reports for this site and you don’t have a 2nd round?

I will add one closer to the draft, but a lot can happen between now and the draft and I am waiting to see what players each team works out so I can better predict what out-of-nowhere guys might be selected. So I don’t see much point in starting the second round before a few days prior to the draft. And like you said, I’ve been busy writing a lot of profiles.

That’s cool. I was just curious as to who you had where, over the years I’ve grown to enjoy scouting the guys in the 40-70 range to try to find translatable NBA talent is less obvious places. I know you wrote up Oriakhi and some other guys I like and wanted to see where you had em.

Yeah, I like Oriakhi and I think he’s a top 60 talent in this draft, but I don’t think he’ll get picked over all the obscure international guys who always go in the late second round.

He’s on the outside looking in on mine too for that same reason, but he could make sense for the Pacers and a few other teams past 45…but yeah, I think he and Cooley will play in the NBA next year at some capacity, but I just can’t fit them in my mock right now.

I just can’t see the Wolves passing up CJ for another center. Love and Zeller would get burned on D, and if Pek does stay, then Zeller might not see the floor that much. The Wolves desperately need someone who can score the ball, and I don’t see Zeller filling that need. I’m also a little reluctant to think the Thunder reach that high on an international project. They could easily draft a capable center because Perkins is giving them nothing. They need someone who can play now, not later. Would you want to expand further on these picks?
