first off I thought the clippers had a GREAT draft.

the clippers filled all of their needs, and then some. aminu will step right in and start. bledsoe has a great chance to develop with little pressure with davis at the point already. blesoe could also step in off the bench and learn on the job, moving davis to sg, or vice versa. also willie warren is an absolute STEAL. though his play is similar to gordon, this guy should have went SO much higher than 54.

the lakers had a GREAT draft too. ebanks at 43? caracter at 58? ebanks was projected as a lotto pick a while back, and at 43 this might be one of the biggest steals of the draft. this guy has the length and athleticism to be a stud on offense, he just needs to put it all together. at worse he’ll be a lock down defender. caracter at 58 is a very good pick. he might not make the team, but if he does, he’ll bring the strength to pau and lamar’s finesse. hopefully phil comes back to fix his attitude and work ethic like he fixed ron’s and rodmans.

whiteside was a steal at 33. hawes is still on the team, so whiteside has some time to develop. the only thing is the kings have a log jam in the front court, and still no pg. cousins, whiteside, thompson, hawes, landry, casspi, heck even throw donte greene in there. 2 or 3 guys need to be traded. landry casspi and hawes have a lot of value.

i just wanna throw in one thing, I can’t believe dexter pittman got drafted ahead of whiteside, and I can’t believe seraphin got drafted so high.

i thought the t’wolves had an okay draft. they can stash bjelinca overseas, maybe webster will develop some more because he’s still young, and wes johnson is a great pick.

babbitt will fit in very nicely in portland. moving martell webster was a great move. i’m really rooting for bayless to finally start. roy, bayless, babbitt/batum/gomes or w/e they decide at sf, aldridge, and oden (if his 60 year old body can hold up), is a very solid line up.

which brings me to the grizzlies. xavier henry is gonna be a VERY good player. if he starts, does that make oj their pg? that’s an amazing backcourt on paper, but who’s gonna be their playmaker? oj and x can shoot the lights out, but what about making plays for others? does the henry pick mean conley’s days are numbered in memphis? i personally think babbitt would have been a better pick here. i also don’t understand why they drafted vasquez. i never would have imagined him as a first round pick. but i guess he’ll fit well. he can make plays for others, and will be a nice piece to bring in off the bench.

patterson was a steal at 14. this guy is gonna be an absolute stud. i was hoping the warriors would draft him to get some more toughness.

isn’t it funny how larry missed hayward by one pick? i’m not sure if they would have picked him, but i just thought it was similar to the knicks missing out on steph curry by one pick last year.

speaking of the knicks, i’m a huge andy rautins fan, and i think he has a chance to shine in new york. he has problems on defense but d’antoni covered up nash’s defense, maybe he could do the same for rautins. it’ll be interesting to see how good stephenson might become. sg is a weak position in indiana, so he’ll have a chance to prove himself. i think the knicks might regret not taking him, but who knows right now.

overall i just thought there were a lot of interesting picks in this draft, and a lot of guys fell. whiteside reminds me a lot of deandre jordan slipping, and jordan appears to be developing well. i just thought it was ridiculous how far him and ebanks fell…

barely realized that hawes got traded, either way, dalembert is gonna make their front court any less packed.

Loved what the Pacers and Clippers did.

Raptors need to fire Bryan Colangelo now.

They drafted Aminu at 8 which was expected, and then they drafted Willie Warren at 54, a complete steal. I had him going early second to mid second. A couple guys who really slipped would be: Hassan Whiteside, Solomon Alabi, Willie Warren, Stanley Robinson, and Devin Ebanks. One guy who i expected to get drafted but didnt, was Sherron Collins. I also had Mikhail Torrance getting drafted. I had him going at around 50. A couple guys that i thought went too early were: Kevin Serraphin, Andy Rautins, and Landry Fields. The Knicks are absolutely horrible drafters. The draft was a lot different than i thought it would be.
