ckessler33Participantthere were A LOT of things that I thought were crazy, but one I wanted to get into was, Utah and New Orleans drafting pg’s back to back, when they both have the 2 top pg’s already in Williams and Paul respectivly, I think Maynor and Collison are good, but I don’t understand drafting a guy to be a back up? sorry both teams needed a lot more help in a lot other places like at sg, sf, and another big man for both UT/NO. Yall’s reactions

llperezNot sure how they will earn many minutes, but they are both good players and when you are picking in the 20’s, sometimes just getting a solid backup is a good thing.

futureGM22Participantif the jazz and hornets believe that collison and maynor will step in right away then they can be viewed more as really cheap free agent signings. both will have salaries around 1.5mil next year, and a solid back up point in free agency goes for about 4 mil. so it’s somewhat of a bargin
the hornets did have other wholes though0 - Posted on: Thu, 06/25/2009 - 7:37pm #171719
auberParticipantDepth at the point is something that holds both of these teams back.
